Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2011
I didn't have chili beans so I used Red Kidney Beans. I also substituted Chicken Broth instead of the beer. Used 2 cans of chicken breast because I didn't have time to cook the chicken. Set on high for 5.5 hours and it was fantastic. I added Cumin, Garlic and Chili powder as others suggested. Very good and this will be a regular meal in our house!!

Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
This was wonderful. It cooked on low for 8 hours and the meat was so great. If you don't like your peppers and onions mushy don't add them until later like the other reviewers suggested. I do like my peppers and onions on the soft side so it was perfect. I did add more garlic powder and sea salt to the recipe. Wonderful! Will make again.

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
I didn't have kidney beans in my pantry so I used Pinto Beans and a can of Chickpeas. I also added a can of Rotel for spicyness. WONDERFUL! Will make this again throughout the Winter & Fall.

Eileen's Spicy Gingerbread Men

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2010
Easy and they turned out great for decorating. The key is moving them to a cooling rack as soon as they get out of the oven. They are a bit soft so you have to be careful but they firm up nicely after cooling on the rack.

Peppermint Meringues

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2010
I do not like peppermint but my family really liked these. I didn't use candycanes because all I had were the round mints but they turned out the same. I also added red food coloring, chocolate chips to the top and colored sugar crystals before baking. I used the Chocolate Meringue recipe from this site where it only takes 25 minutes. Worked the same and turned out great. I would suggest trying that recipe, too. I LOVED IT.

Great recipe and very easy! My family loves these little treats. Just wish I had double ovens so I could make more at one time.

Garlic Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2010
AMAZING! We loved this recipe. My husband already loves brussel sprouts but my daughter and I really don't care for them. After making this last night it will be a regular side dish in our home. Very tasty. I used frozen sprouts and they turned out just fine!

Lemon Garlic Tilapia

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2010
Very good! Will use this recipe over and over. I did not use Parsley because our family isn't a huge fan of the herb. I did use garlic powder instead of fresh cloves; I also used bottled lemon juice. Added Lemon & Pepper seasoning salt prior to baking. I hate "fishy" tasting fish and this was wonderful.

Roasted Corn on the Cob

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2010
Gives a great "kick"; I went the oven route and cooked the corn for 30 minutes. I brushed the ears as soon as they came out of the ovem and my husband added a ton more as he was eating it. Will use this recipe again.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2010
If I could give this more stars I would! It was OUTSTANDING. I didn't have Italian dressing so I had to use Balsamic dressing instead. This was wonderful and my family couldn't get enough. I did shred the chicken 1 hour prior to serving and added back to the sauce to cook. I also read others comments and added garlic powder as suggested. It was wonderful. I can't wait to use this for porkchops! It's a must try!!!

Grilled Cornish Game Hens

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2010
This recipe was AWESOME! I only had 2 hours to marinate the hens but they still turned out great...I can't imagine how good they would taste after being marinated for 4 hours. The only change that I made was I did 2 tbsps of Worcestershire sauce and 1 tbsp of Hot Pepper sauce. Other than that I followed the recipe as is. I will probably never bake a Cornish Hen again after using this recipe...family favorite.

Teriyaki Marinade with Ginger and Garlic

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2010
This was very good. I didn't use as much Ginger as the recipe called for because my family doesn't like a lot of Ginger. Great Marinade!

Marinated Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2010
I am giving this 5 stars for the MARINADE itself. This is an excellent marinade and I think it would work better for grilled items like Pork and Chicken. The pork chops were a little dry for my taste. I did double the recipe and I only had 3 boneless chops. I will use this recipe again but for the marinade not for the baked chops.

Pork Chops for the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: May 24, 2010
AWESOME!!! This by far is the best recipe to use for porkchops in the slow cooker. I doubled the recipe but only used 1/4 cup of Soy Sauce and added a 1/4 cup of honey. I also didn't use the Ketchup and substituted it with BBQ sauce I had on hand. It honestly was amazing and the meat was very tender.

Roasted Vegetables

Reviewed: May 24, 2010
This was very good! I did separate the potatoes and baby carrots from the other veggies. I cooked them longer and added the others when I had 20 minutes left. I do think that it needs a little more seasoning so I will add more to mine next time. Otherwise this was a great recipe and one I will use again.

This is a winner at our house! I have made 2 batches so far and they never last long enough! I don't have a mini muffin pan but I did use the mini muffin cups and they turn out just fine.
