I'm primarily a stay-at-home mom but do catering jobs on the side. We have 4 (soon to be 5) hungry children who will try anything!!
My favorite things to cook
I love experimenting with new recipes, but our famiy favorites our Mexican lasagna, soups, cranberry BBQ meatballs, alfredo ravioli, cheese/green chili rice casserole, manicotti, meatloaf, ribs, grilled chicken, and green salads.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I've inheirited many of my mother's recipes that we ate as children. It's been fun recreating them now for my family!
My cooking triumphs
Having a family of (almost) 7, it's challenging preparing meals that please everyone. That being said, it's rare that I serve a meal that anyone complains about. Everyone pretty much tries and likes everything, which is a real blessing.
My cooking tragedies
It's true that we've had many meats catch on fire, both in our oven, and on the grill. It's made for some wonderful stories, however. Live and learn, right?
