Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2012
I have never been able to successfully make bread pudding until I tried this recipe. It is very quick and easy to whip up using whatever leftover bakery bread. I sometimes add less sugar and a drizzle of cream on top before I bake but always add the raisins. Thank you for the recipe. I will be passing this one down!

Adrienne's Cucumber Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2012
Really great, flexible recipe. I followed some of the other suggestions of reducing some of the sugar and salting the cucumbers before dressing them with the vinegar mixture. I also added some crushed red pepper for a nice sweet and sour kick!

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Reviewed: May 22, 2012
Really simple and tasty recipe. I followed the ingredient list exactly with the exception of using fresh onions and garlic rather than dried. I really think the grated onion made the steaks nice and moist while providing loads of flavor. I think the sherry was a nice touch. YUM!

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2012
Easy to make and delicious! I followed the recipe exactly and was not disappointed. The topping makes these muffins. I will be adding chocolate chips in the muffin batter next time.

Turkey Pot Pie I

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2012
This was a good basic recipe that is easy to add your own twist. I was surprised with the amount of parsley that was called for but decided to go for it and it worked well. I did add about 1/4 tsp of thyme and ground sage each which I think livened it up a bit. I did an egg wash of half and half with a yolk on the crust which really made it nice looking. Though next time I might just consider making this with a top crust only as it is very rich.

I made this meatloaf for my English mother in law who was curious about American meat loaf. She was very impressed and thinks I am an amazing cook. Thanks for the awesome recipe! I wouldn't change a thing :)

Becca's Chicken-Fried Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2012
Good recipe! Besides using thick pork loin chops I add a knob of butter to olive oil for frying and whiz the saltines in a food processor. The pork stayed tender and juicy yum!
