Mari's Banana Cupcakes

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2015
I used 6 tablespoons of evaporated milk plus 1/2 tsp. vinegar.(rested for 10 minutes)I also added 1 tsp. vanilla. These were great muffins. I had to put the little extra batter, the 13th and 14th muffin amount, ( ony had a 12 muffin pan) into a small pyrex dish and this cooked okay too.

Grandma Hasz's Christmas Cutouts

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2014
I loved these. All my family loved them too, especially the fact that they were crunchy. Cutting them was a breeze and no dough-chilling-time required had me double-checking the recipe before I started. Tastes great too. I thought I was making a lot but they were devoured quickly!

Super Easy Drinkable Fruit Yogurt Shakes

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2014
Delicioso! I used greek yogurt and extra cherry flavored gelatin powder and more milk. The yogurt had blueberry so I omitted the jam. The only one who did not like I was my 5yr. old but I loved it. Thanks

Perfect Gluten-Free Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2013
Sounds great. I have been looking for gluten free recipes. However, just mixing 1 cup of peanut butter to 1 cup of sugar plus one egg is a set of more readily available ingredients for these peanut butter cookies. I had to bake the one inch dough balls at 350 degrees for a few minutes longer. This is tried and true. Try this version!

Oatmeal Banana Raisin Coconut Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2012
When I made it first, it was loved even by my diabetic friend. On this second try, I read ALL the reviews, and made it again with so many changes: I used half cup of peanut oil instead of butter and added applesauce for the other half cup. I used 1/3 cup of brown sugar and 1/3 cup of granulated Splenda. I still used 2 eggs but substituted vanilla with lemon extract. Most importantly, I made it gluten-free by using cornstarch instead of wheat. One reviewer commented that applesauce made it cakey so I used my muffin pans. I still used 1 and a half tsp. of baking powder plus a little more oats. I added cream of tartar this time too. Result: kinda crumbly so I will try adding more egg and oil to the mixture next time. We will see what they taste like tomorrow but it tastes great again right now even with these many changes. Thanks for this recipe and for each review!

Pinka Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2012
I read many reviews and I am glad that I still made it. It is great and thanks for the positive reviews with hints. Do not let them cool before removing them from the baking sheet. Make them small so the cookies can be made healthier snacks by combining them with milk and fruit. Thanks for this gluten-free option!

Mable's Potato Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2012
Recipe is great. Nice gluten free way to make a quick snack for a toddler. I have also used regular brown sugar instead of the powdered sugar and since it liquidifies first, I assumed that the sugar melted. The end result was not marbled but just as yummy. The last time I made the regular one and set the "cookies" on crushed corn flakes and finally sprinkled and pressed down flakes on top. The crunchy addition was delicious!

Potato Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2012
After reading many reviews,(thanks for those) I made it without garlic and mixed the cheese in the thick potato mixture. I made sure to wait 10 minutes to flip them. I did not measure out the flour but I love the product and so does my 5 yr. old. Thanks for this recipe!

April's Chicken Fried Rice

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2012
Both yummy and "kinda" bland. Maybe I did not follow instructions very well. My chicken was starting to boil and did not get brown. I managed to take out the liquid and use it later with the soy sauce. Smelled awesome and kid friendly. My older ones can add pepper sauce and more soy sauce to their own serving. Very helpful reviews!

Edible Play Dough

This is so great. It kept my toddler occupied every time I made it. The second time that I made it , I had to add more milk powder probably because this time I used fat-free milk powder? Awesome taste too.

BREAKSTONE'S Curried Mashed Sweet Potatoes

Less than o.k.! No one in my family cared for this recipe. I ate it and would definitely rate it higher for just myself. Curry needs meat flavor (like broth).
