Rose so high! Really came out well and was so delicious. Made custard and pumpkin spice bran muffins with the yolks, so was a fun day of baking :-)

I used fresh fruit and instead of flour, King Arthur's pie enhancer. It was super delicious!!! The blueberries really went well with the rhubarb. Really a great pie. I also used the pie crust recipe from this site, which was also good.

Was very good. I added more stock, extra potatoes, a can of fire roasted diced tomatoes, a can of great northern beans, 16 oz frozen corn at the very end, garlic, a carrot celery. I sauteed mirepoix and pork, threw in garlic and spices last minute and added the stock and tomatoes and cooked for an hour. then last half hour added potatoes and beans, then last 5 minutes added corn. topped with cilantro and sour cream and served with roasted jalapeno cheddar cornbread recipe from another site.

This was so good. I left out sugar, used 3 Tblsp Maharajah curry powder, chicken quarters, added 2 seeded and fine chopped jalapenos, a cup or so chicken broth and cooked in oven at 325 for 2 hours. I also followed suggestion and cooked curry powder 5 min then added chopped onion (whole onion), 10 oz sliced mushrooms and cooked until translucent. then added the coconut milk and rest and poured over chicken. I served it with wild rice and was very yummy.

Merwin's Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2010
Absolutely delicious! Didn't know what meat extract was. I used Better than Bullion to make stock and made it a little stronger than directions. Then I used some Kitchen Bouquet. I did add an onion and garlic to the sauce and mixed a little cayenne in with the flour. I doubled the sauce, but next time I will triple it. It was soooo delicious. I used Fiore dry marsala and was great.

German Pork Chops and Sauerkraut

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2010
This was delicious. I added black and white pepper and red pepper flakes to the sauerkraut mix. Was not too spicy at all. Also, deglazed pan after I browned the pork chops with 1/4 cup or so wine and poured it over the chops before I put on the kraut. Will definitely make again. Yum.

Margarita Cake

very good. I added orange extract and used lemon cake and lemon pudding. Used contreux and skipped tequila. Really good. Next time I might grease and flour, or cool longer than 10 min and part of my cake stuck in my greased nonstick bundt pan.

Greek Loaf

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2010
This turned out so delicious with a few changes. I added 1/4 cup chopped and destemed fresh parsley, a heaping tsp of oregano, a tablespoon each garlic powder and granulated onion powder. I used bulgarian feta that i got at costco. it is very firm and tasty and made the bread taste wonderful. I used tasso green olives stuffed with pimentos. I let the yeast hydrate in the warm milk about half an hour before I threw it all in the bread machine. It rose so high, it almost smooshed into the machines window on the top. It also made excellent toast just with butter, no extra cheese needed, although salami or something would go well. Thanks for the recipe. It was super inspirational.

Best Ever Popcorn Balls

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2010
After trying several recipes and raising quite a few blisterss, I tried this and loved it. I added wilton paste coloring and also tried a batch with liquid food coloring, and both worked well. I also put a gumdrop in the center of some and mixed candy in with others. Also added a tsp of vanilla after took it off the stove and added the color. Helped to let the formed balls dry out a little before packing in zip bags. Thanks for this treat!

Molasses Cookies II

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2010
mine were not nearly as crackly as the picture, but i made them very small with a melon baller. I also rolled in sugar before baking. I think next time I will add a little more spice. Maybe my spices aren't as fresh. A super cookie to have with tea or coffee. And so easy. I cooked on parchment so didn't even have to grease the pans. Very good and easy to store in a plastic container.
