Purple Apple Slaw

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2003
Liked this salad very much. I did add a little bit of vinegar to give it a zing. Also I substituted half the mayo with plain yogurt to lower the fat content. My family liked it and didn't notice the yogurt. I liked the color, it makes an attractive salad.

Baked Apricot Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2012
This dish is fabulous!! I prefer boneless skinless chicken breasts, so that is what I used. I also wanted more "stuff" in the sauce, so I put sliced onions on the bottom of my dish and then placed the chicken on top before spreading on the sauce. I am not a fan of changing a recipe and then rating it poorly, so I believe that this recipe is perfect as written. I do like my slight alterations which lowers the fat content of the meat as well as adds a healthy veggie. This will be a new go-to recipe in my kitchen.

Ginger Steak

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2007
OMG!! The easiest way to prepare a steak that is SO flavorful. I prepared this exactly to the recipe, then I BBQ'd instead of broiling (haven't quite master the oven and steak combo, but BBQ is by far the best way to cook beef). This is the best home prepared steak I have ever tasted and the family loved it, too. No left overs tonight!

Spicy Vegan Potato Curry

Made it as the recipe is written. So incredibly good. Kind of hot for the wimps in the family, but it is ROCK STAR awesome. Going in the keeper file and on the top.

This is a great cake. Easy to make. Reminds me of banana bread. It is very dense. I used homemade cream cheese frosting; awewsome combination. The family loved it!! Thanks!

Sour Cream Biscuits

I really like this recipe. They are so moist and tasty. Usually I need to add just a little bit more water to make the dough a better consistency. Very easy and the family loves them.

Chicken and Vegetable Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2005
After reading other reviews, I decided that I didn't want a bland sauce. So I added a heaping spoon of hoisin sauce. It made the sauce a little darker and with the perfect amount of zip. My family really liked it and it was easy to prepare. I would definitely make it again.
