Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2006
This was very good!!! My 13 year old daughter loved it, too. I didn't have crackers on hand so I crushed some baked pretzels. I believe I almost had to double the amount of crushed pretzels. Otherwise the meat was too mushy.... But it turned out awesome!!!! Thanks!!!

Queenie's Killer Tomato Bagel Sandwich

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2006
This was an awesome simple recipe. I took them to church and adults really liked them. I still think fresh basil makes a big difference. So it is better to always use fresh ones. Thanks for the good recipe.

Sugar Cookies with Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2006
Me and my family love soft sugar cookies. This recipe was great! I put the dough in freezer for about 15 minutes and it was ready to be rolled out. Once they were baked and frosted I put all the cookies in a can. Then, they were nice and soft next day. My 13 year old daughter loved them, too!! So thank you!!!!

Chef John's Chicken Teriyaki

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2014
I tried this last night. My n-laws were in town so I wanted to cook something tasty. I wanted to cook something similar to Yakitori which is Japanese dish. If you would put small bite size of chickens and good size of green onion chunks and put them in a skewer alternately and then glaze and cook them. I'm sure that would be a hit.

This salad was great!!! I added some culiflowers and they came out really good. I just bought a bag of pre-cut broccoli and culiflowers. I like to get things done fast!!! I also bought a deli bag of cooked bacon pieces and put those in the salad. Pretty fast!!!!

Shrimp Scampi

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2009
I sure liked this recipe. Especially I am watching my diet really close right now to lose weight...but I love pasta. I did not use Angel Hair Pasta. I used whole grain pasta that has 6 grams of fiber. Angel Hair pasta would have been too light for me..but I put a lot of green onions, garlic and parsley. Low sodium soup based sauce so it was not heavy like the cream sauce and better for you. I can eat this every day. Next day I still lost my weight.... So if you are on diet and still want to enjoy pasta this recipe is it. Thanks for the recipe.

Horseradish Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
Never put horseradish in my deviled eggs before. So this was something different. I took these to my friend's house for the Thanksgiving Dinner today. They all loved them. I used French's Horseradish Mustard. So horseradish and ground mustard were already mixed together. It was awesome!!!! Thank you for this horseradish idea.

Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

I made this last night for all the family who are visiting from Texas. It was a huge hit. I made garlic mashed potatoes to go with the gravy. My husband especially loved the gravy. I put one beaten egg in the meat mixture to add the flavor and stick the meat together. I also bought heart healthy soup. This is a keeper for sure. Thank you.

Chef John's Cheesy Crackers

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2014
I used a bag of shredded sharp cheddar cheese and a bag of shredded Parmesan cheese. Used a food processor to make it easier. But it was hard to cut into square so I kept rolling it out and kept cutting out with a small flower cookie cutter. They came out wonderful and cheesy. But next time I will try and shred cheese on my own to see if that tastes better than a bag of shredded cheese from the grocery store. For some reason I think it will.....:-)
