Tortellini Salad I

Reviewed: May 5, 2008
This was awesome salad. I made it for the food day at work and everybody loved it. Especially ladies!! It is not the creamy dressing so it is better for you and that was plus!!!! Now everybody told me to make this salad everytime we have a food day. :-)

After-Thanksgiving Turkey Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2007
It was very good however I think it came out a little too thick because of 1 cup of rice. When I told my friend what happened,he suggested to cook rice first and rinse the starch off in order for the soup not to get too thick. I think I will try that next time.

Garlic Chicken Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2007
This was good however my daughter wanted some ketchup to go with it. I think you have to have gravy, or special sauce to dip it in. Also I used Panko(Japanese bread crumbs which is very light)instead of regular bread crumbs and they came out great!

Sweet Potato Casserole II

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2007
I served this dish when my in-laws were here. My father-in-law loves sweet potatoes. Well, he liked it but I felt like brown sugar and pecans were a little too much.

This was a kind of bland... I felt like it needed something but was not bad. Maybe so so.

Avocado and Tomato Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2007
It was really good. Just like others mentioned about cilantro, yes, you need to put chopped cilantro. That is what makes this salad soooo good.

Creamy Dill Cucumber Toasties

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2007
I couldn't find baguette so I substituted with a regular french bread. That was my mistake. French bread is a lot softer than baguette. When I took this to the New Year's Party they sat there and got soggy towards the end of the night. I will make sure to use baguette next time.

Sugar Cookies with Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2006
Me and my family love soft sugar cookies. This recipe was great! I put the dough in freezer for about 15 minutes and it was ready to be rolled out. Once they were baked and frosted I put all the cookies in a can. Then, they were nice and soft next day. My 13 year old daughter loved them, too!! So thank you!!!!

Roast Beef and Gravy

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2006
This was very good. But I added 1 can of beef broth to this. Otherwise it would be way too salty. This way you have more gravy, too. Meat was tender and very very good. Thank you.

Queenie's Killer Tomato Bagel Sandwich

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2006
This was an awesome simple recipe. I took them to church and adults really liked them. I still think fresh basil makes a big difference. So it is better to always use fresh ones. Thanks for the good recipe.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2006
This was very good!!! My 13 year old daughter loved it, too. I didn't have crackers on hand so I crushed some baked pretzels. I believe I almost had to double the amount of crushed pretzels. Otherwise the meat was too mushy.... But it turned out awesome!!!! Thanks!!!

Asparagus Appetizers

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2006
I made this for my husband's boss's Christmas party. Everybody loved it. My husband liked it, too but he is not too crazy about blue cheese so he wants me to make it with only cream cheese next time. This does have a lot of blue cheese flavor but everybody likes it though.

Bacon Wrapped Smokies

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2006
I made this for New Year's Eve party. Everybody loved it. I made a double batch. I read the reviews before, so I also rolled mini smokies in brown sugar before I wrapp those with bacon. I still think bacon should be cut in half and not in thirds. Thirds were too short and did not wrap smokies very well. I put them in a crock pot but like others said, they would dry out if you keep it on low for too long so I turned it off after about two hours. Thanks for the wonderful recipes.

Award Winning Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2005
My husband loved it but I guess I should not have left this in a crockpot all day after it has been cooking away the night before. It got too thick. But my friends told me this recipe is perfect for the CHILI DOG! Probably because of the BBQ taste!
