Chicken Breasts in Caper Cream Sauce

This recipe was great....and easy, which is always a plus. I used a couple of splashes of lemon juice rather than lemon pepper. My 10 year old son liked it too.

Burrito Pie

My 13 yr old son made this for the family for a class project grade at school. Although I had to keep on him to follow the directions, he was able to complete by himself and have the family really enjoy it. Thanks for sharing!

French Toast Casserole

This casserole was very good. Instead of dotting with butter before baking, I poured half of a stick of melted butter (I know I should be ashamed of myself) into the milk and egg mixture. I also added nutmeg with the cinnamon. Takes just like french toast.

Chef John's Caramel Chicken

I've made this recipe twice now and really like it. The other reviewers are correct - the added water makes the caramelization process take forever. Therefore if you add the full amount of water, cut your chicken in larger pieces so you won't overcook. Watch the jalapenos because the second time I got some that were extra spicy from the international market (even with seeds removed) and we almost couldn't eat it.

Potato Chips

Despite the good reviews, I had my doubts about this recipe....I was pleasantly surprised. I used a potato peeler to make the slices very thin, and sprayed the plate and potatoes with butter flavored cooking spray before I placed in the microwave. They really came out liked the potato chips in the store! My only complaint is that they shrink so much that you can't make them fast enough.

Lemon Square Bars

This recipe is idiot proof. I made all kinds of mistakes, including removing from the oven too soon (I put it in the microwave to finish off), and realizing that I had no lemons after I started (I used lime juice and dried lemon zest). I was sure that I was going to throw the whole pan out. When we tasted the next day, these were pretty good. I positively loved the shortbread crust, and I did make this according to the instructions. I am looking forward to using it in other recipes that call for graham cracker crust. Yum.

Peppery Cheddar Muffins

I followed the recipe exactly and the muffins turned out okay. The texture was good but something seemed to be missing in the flavor. I think that if I were to add garlic powder to the dry ingredients before mixing, they would taste similar to Red Lobster's biscuits.

Spicy Indian Chicken and Mango Curry

Like one of the other reviewers, I found this recipe to be bland. I added some sea salt and a small amount of cayenne pepper to pep it up a bit. I made it for a potluck, and a few people went back for seconds and even thirds, but it was a little too exotic for about half of the guests.
