Italian Anisette Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2013
A Homerun! I made a double batch for dessert on the Italian table at a church dinner. I found them easy to make. I used self rising flour because it was on hand. (don't add baking powder or salt)and they turned out great. When making the glaze add water a little at a time to the desired consistency. One batch was almost like donut glaze the other was a bit thicker more like frosting. My husband does not have a sweet tooth. He asked me to make these cookies for us.

Oven Scrambled Eggs

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2012
I re calculated the recipe for two of us. I often make them on Sunday Morning while getting ready for church. My husband and I love them! Sometimes I add pepper and onion, and or sprinkle cheese on top.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2012
This is fantastic! I replaced the beer with 12oz. of gingerale and opted to let each person add cheese to their taste. I made it for a 12 hour work day and all 10 in the office gave it a thumbs up!

Gouda and Spinach Stuffed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2012
Great recipe, I blended the creole seasoning (which I made with items in the cabinet) with the planko for more even seasoning. I also didn't have horseradish mustard, so I added horseradish to spicy brown mustard. It was fantastic!

Hazel's Meatballs

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2011
This recipe is a keeper! I like sauce on my meatballs so I doubled the sauce and it still wasn't saucy. The next time I make them I think I will 2.5x the sauce. As an appetizer double the sauce was perfect. I added Italian seasoning to the sauce just till it looked good to me, about six twists of the grinder. I pre cooked the meatballs for 15 minutes, but using 97% lean meat I went ahead and added the sauce for the remaining 45 minutes.

JELL-O® Chocolate Pudding Fudge

Reviewed: May 27, 2010
If you want a bold Chocolate taste, this is good. I didn't get the best results because I had only two bakers chocolate squares, I used the substitution on the cocoa box in place of the other squares, I needed a chocolate fix but wanted a fudge texture rather then pure chocolate. I should have used one square in the bottom layer and one inthe top layer. The cocoa substitution was OK, make sure all of the sugar is dissolved so the bottom layer is not grainy. It was very quick to prepare, I will try again using all chocolate squares, chocolate chips or substituting marshmallow cream for the sugar with cocoa and shortening.
