White Chocolate Covered Pretzels

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2011
Made a bunch of these for my Christmas cookie trays, and as always, a hit! I did add about a Tbsp or so of veggie oil (was out of shortening, go figure) to thin it out a little and keep it smooth.

Mom's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2011
I made 3 different kinds (so far), regular chocolate chip with vanilla pudding, m&m with cheesecake pudding, and reverse chocolate chip using chocolate pudding and white chocolate chips. They stayed soft for over a week!!! Was described as the "perfect chocolate chip cookie" by one person I gave them to. The only change I made, was to only use 2 cups flour, that extra 1/4 made it too puffy/cakey for me.

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
If I could rate this 10 stars, I would... The baked version, with breadcrumbs (panko is great, but regular/italian/seasoned works just fine) mixed into the parmesean is AMAZING and totally addictive. I add about 1/2-3/4 c shredded mexican blend cheese, and the whole 4oz can of jalapenos, also I use a 7oz can of green chiles.. Bake at 350 or 375 for abt 30 until brown, and OMG! The microwaved version works pretty well though, esp if you dont have the option of baking.. Definitely a new go-to potluck/party standby!

Apple Crumb Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2011
Made almost exactly as stated, though I did add a little apple pie spice to the crumb topping too. The flavor was great, which is saying a lot for me since i don't normally like apple pie. The only problem I had though, was it was really runny and some of the juice spilled over the side when I took it out of the oven. That might have just been the apples I used though.

Zucchini Patties

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2010
3 stars as-is, this is a great base recipe but needs tweaking to taste as it is VERY bland. i made a half recipe, cooked 1 patty as is to try, then added chili powder, LOTS of garlic, parsley, red pepper flakes, black pepper, and extra flour (even after squeezing the excess liquid from the zucchini) cuz it was still way too liquid-y.

Bar Cookies from Cake Mix

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2010
I followed the directions exactly, and these went over the top of my pan, and all over my oven! Also had to cook much longer than suggested.

Lemon Poppy Seed Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2010
i dont know if i did something wrong, but i made this as recipe stated and it didnt come out at ALL. oozed out of the pans, didnt cook in the time specified, or even in an hour and 10 minutes (i finally gave up, so i could use my oven for something worthwhile).

Strawberry Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2011
Made a blueberry/lemon one, and a strawberry one... neither turned out, they both oozed out of my pans! Glad I put a cookie sheet underneath, just in case, but definitely a reminder why i usually use disposable pans when i 1st try a recipe. I tried a piece of the edge that did bake all the way through, also, and it was waaaayyyyy too super sweet. Will certainly not make again!
