I made these for my Pharm Tech class at UEI. I used dark brown sugar instead of light brown, used 1.5 tsp of vanilla (not 2 tsp), added 1 tsp cinnamon, added 1/2 cup butter flavored shortening into the batter and left out the walnuts (in case any of my classmates should be allergic to nuts). The 1st batch took 30 min cooking @ 325F, so my 2nd batch I cooked at 350F and they cooked in 20 min. I just ate one from the 1st batch and it was very good! I will update this comment with how my classmates liked them, later today.
