Chocolate Caramel Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2007
These have to be the best brownies I have ever made. I made them first for a cookie exchange at work-they were scarfed down. Now my husband insists I make them at least one every other month or so, because he loves them too. They are not for the novice cook but the payoff is so good! Thanks for posting this!

Incredible Punch

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2006
I made this punch for a social function and now I'm not allowed to bring anything else but this! I couldn't find flavored ginger ale so I used regular and it turned out okay. I also used 2 cans of frozen pina colada mix, and I used the tip about placing the frozen mixture in ziploc bags. It makes it much easier to transport when you have to take it to someone's home. Thanks again for posting this!

Chicken Enchilada Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2006
I've made this so many times, and everyone I've made it for has asked for the recipe. I did make some changes. I substituted sour cream and cream of chicken soup, and I added olives. When I use fresh chicken, I use a bouillion as well. This is my fave recipe from this site. Thanks for posting it!

Whipping Cream Pound Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2005
My mother makes a fabulous whipping cream pound cake every Thanksgiving and will NOT give up the recipe. I found this one and it's almost as good as hers! The only thing I would change is the amount of sugar-both my husband and I thought it was too sweet. Other than that, it's a very great cake. Thanks so much!

Ground Beef Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2003
This was good, but there are a few things I would change the next time I made this. The first thing I would do is season the potatoes. If you make this, whatever you do, make sure you season them well b/c this dish is flavorless without it. A previous reviewer said that it needed alot of salt and pepper, and that's true. Other than this, the dish was easy to prepare and was received well by my family. I had a craving for this dish (which always reminds me of lunch at my elementary school).

California Primavera

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2003
This was a great meal by itself, but I made some changes to make it a main dish. I used flavored tomatoes like others suggested, but I also added shrimp and used green onions instead of regular onions. Instead of spaghetti, I used bow tie pasta. My husband is not a big vegetable eater, but he loved this. I will definitely make this again, as this is easily adaptable to whatever I have on hand. Thanks!!

Cheeseburger Meatloaf

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2002
I've made a few changes to this, but I still love it. I really had trouble rolling it, so I just combine all the ingredients together and shape it as a meatloaf. Also, I added a can of flavored diced tomatoes-I tried salsa but it makes the meat dry. The tomatoes give it great flavor. I also tried this with ground turkey, but it was awful. Thanks for this-it's a family favorite!!

Marinated Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2002
This is very good!! My husband enjoyed it very much. I did change a few things-I used BBQ sauce instead of ketchup and I cooked this on my Foreman grill instead of baking it. It turned out great!

Pecan Pie I

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2001
This tastes like a pie that my mom would make!! The only thing I did differently is that I actually roast my pecans in butter first before I put them in the pie. My mom did this as well, and I like the way it makes the pie taste.
