Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2014
I did not vary from the recipe at all. It turned out a watery mess. Not sure why. I ended up taking off the lattice & adding cornstarch to thicken the sauce.

Kentucky Biscuits

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2013
I don't like any biscuit except KFC, never have. This recipe is PERFECT! Hints: I only kneaded the dough 12 times (fold in half, punch, fold in half punch, etc..) I used a cheese grater & grated my frozen stick of UNSALTED butter until ready to use. This saves you from having to cut butter into the mix (which produces uneven pieces. Right after the biscuits came out I brushed them with melted butter (a little salt added). Just printed this recipe & added to my Grandmothers recipe book she handed down to me.

Easy Broccoli Quiche

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2011
This is super easy! I baked it in a Casserole dish since I am on a low carb diet. I recommend using a small onion (about the size of a Tangerine. I added crumbled Applewood Bacon and omitted the melted butter. I also want to add that Quiche should not be eaten hot! It should be served at room temperature or slightly warm.

It does not say if you cook it on high, medium or low. I put it in between high & medium. When I poured it out of the pot into the pan, there were large black clumps where it totally burned on the bottom.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2010
Delicious! I used frozen mixed veggies (green beans, peas, carrots & corn) And, I added 1 cup of cream of chicken soup to the gravy. Instead of layering, I mixed everything together and poured in the crust. Will make this over & over!

Oven Fried Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2010
My husband loved this and he hates all kind of cheeses! I didn't tell him what it was until after he ate it. I thought the Parmesan cheese over powered the garlic flavor. Will make again using less Parmesan.

My Crab Cakes

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2010
Great Recipe. It was too dry so I added 1/2 cup of prepared horseradish sauce! Yummy! Next time I won't roll in breadcrumbs before frying as it is just a little too much breading for my taste. Perfect!

Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: May 25, 2010
The only thing I changed is I substituted 1 cup of milk for 1 cup of French Vanilla Coffee creamer and omitted the vanilla extract. I also reduced the sugar by 1/4 cup. Awesome! Just like Grandma use to make!
