Breakfast Zinger Juice

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2013
Followed the recipe to the letter with one slight change. I add 1 1/2 Oz of Vodka or Gin. What a way to start the day, by the way I leave the vodka/gin out of the kids drinks.

Greek Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2011
I could give this receipe six stars, taste great. It is a little cold to be grilling outside so I cook it in the oven instead. 375 for about 25 minutes covered with aluminum foil, removed the foil turned on the broiler and cooked about 10 minutes to add some nice color to it. Don't forget the wine for the cook, that is very important.

Slow Cooker Lasagna

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2012
After reading this recipe the first thing that came to my mind is "dry". So I added a bottle of beer as I layered the items in to the crock pot, I might have drank one myself. I have always said a dry cook is a sorry cook. Otherwise I followed the recipe to the letter jus added aboy 45 minutes to the cooking time. As someone said all crock pots are not created equal, mine is slow. Thanks for the recipe.

Bobbe's Super Cheesy Pasta

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2013
This was great, I only did one thing different. I added 1/2 bottle of red wine into the cook, made the time go faster while this delicious dish was being prepared. Wonderful, thanks for sharing.

Oven Roasted Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2013
This is great and fast to prepare. I followed the recipe with one exception. I added 1/4 cup of dark rum simply because I like the taste of rum with baked chicken, delicious. I also tried it without the rum, not as tasteful as with the rum. Thanks for sharing.

Sour Cream Cornbread

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2014
I made this cornbread without the sugar. It was very good, I don't understand why everyone must add so much sugar to all of theses recipes. I don't like sweet anything, my opinion; sugar it detracts from the great flavors of other ingredients.

Old Fashioned Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2012
This recipe has been around awhile but it remains a great one. I enjoy using different types of cheese just to change the flavor a little. I leave out the salt and pepper, but that's my personal taste. For a south of the border experience I some times use some of my homemade jalapeno salsa. That really spices things up and adds a little color to the dish. By the way, if someone wants salt and pepper they can add it before eating, there is a ton of salt in the cheese.

Perfect Crab-Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2013
I loved this, really delicious. I did make a small change, I added 5 cloves of garlic finely chopped, added during step 2. These were earth shaking, my gourmet club loved them also. The first time I made them I ate one before the club assembled and it's a good thing because I would not have gotten even one after the gang got finished. The next meeting I was ordered to make them again, this time I made a triple batch, they all vanished. Thanks for sharing

My wife (German) and I eat this style potato salad very often. She makes it with fresh green onions chopped very fine and a vinegar and oil dressing. No Mayo. My favorite.

Fabulous Beef Tenderloin

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2011
I love to cook and eat beef tenderloin. As most others have said with so few ingredients I was sceptical. It was fantastic and so easy, I just added one ingredient, a large glass of Merlot for the cook. Works everytime, thanks for sharing this wonderful recipe. I went to my local Kroger's store and they had beef tenderloin on special $6.99 per Lb., not trimed, who cares.

Sirloin Steak Dianne

Reviewed: May 8, 2011
A GREAT steak receipe. I made 2 minor changes, I doubled the amount of Brandy and also Red Wine and split it between the steak and the cook. I did notice that some of the reviews say use "Tenderloin" instead of Sirloin. An interesting point, Sirloin has a lower fat content than Tenderloin. So for those of us that have to watch the fat intake Sirloin is the best choice.

Irish Eggs

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2013
My wife and I eat a similar dish at least once a week, sometime for breakfast and also dinner. I use bacon, cooked first. Remove bacon from frying pan leave the grease, add potatoes and mixed peppers frying until lightly browned. Add the bacon back in, I use 2 eggs per person, well beaten. For fluffier eggs add a dollop of sour cream to the eggs and beat well. Making sure the frying pan is not to hot, add the eggs and fold them into the mixture in the frying pan, continue folding eggs until cooked but don't over cook them they should be moist. Serve hot.

This is great, I only changed one thing I added more garlic because we love that stuff. Wonderful recipe and so quick and easy. I made a double batch and served it to my neighbors while watching the NYG/Chicago game, they all loved it. With a nice glass of your favorite wine, wonderful.

Sangria! Sangria!

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2011
Just to add a little kick I added another 1/2 cup of brandy and instead of sparkling water add 1 bottle of champagne. That mixture will make everyone forget it's summer. Try it, you'll like it.
