Simple Garlic Shrimp

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2013
This was a superb recipe. I did add two things, a dash of crushed red pepper to the sauce and a nice glass of wine for the cook. Thanks for sharing.

Breakfast Zinger Juice

Followed the recipe to the letter with one slight change. I add 1 1/2 Oz of Vodka or Gin. What a way to start the day, by the way I leave the vodka/gin out of the kids drinks.

Bobbe's Super Cheesy Pasta

This was great, I only did one thing different. I added 1/2 bottle of red wine into the cook, made the time go faster while this delicious dish was being prepared. Wonderful, thanks for sharing.

Baby Spinach Omelet

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2013
I have been making spinach omelets for a good while. I start with one strip of thick cut bacon chopped in small pieces, sautee until brown remove from skillet, wipe oil from skilet leaving just enough to sautee the diced onion. Then just as with this recipe, mix all ingredients in a bowl. Pour in to skillet cook for 2 minutes flip and cook for 2 more minutes, I like my omelets moist. Great recipe but for me an egg without bacon in just plain naked.

Perfect Crab-Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2013
I loved this, really delicious. I did make a small change, I added 5 cloves of garlic finely chopped, added during step 2. These were earth shaking, my gourmet club loved them also. The first time I made them I ate one before the club assembled and it's a good thing because I would not have gotten even one after the gang got finished. The next meeting I was ordered to make them again, this time I made a triple batch, they all vanished. Thanks for sharing

Irish Eggs

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2013
My wife and I eat a similar dish at least once a week, sometime for breakfast and also dinner. I use bacon, cooked first. Remove bacon from frying pan leave the grease, add potatoes and mixed peppers frying until lightly browned. Add the bacon back in, I use 2 eggs per person, well beaten. For fluffier eggs add a dollop of sour cream to the eggs and beat well. Making sure the frying pan is not to hot, add the eggs and fold them into the mixture in the frying pan, continue folding eggs until cooked but don't over cook them they should be moist. Serve hot.

Awesome Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2013
Boring grilled cheese sandwich. Sorry, just not my thing. I will stick to the old frying pan method, throw on some avocado and a slice of swiss just so you can taste the cheese.

Oven Roasted Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2013
This is great and fast to prepare. I followed the recipe with one exception. I added 1/4 cup of dark rum simply because I like the taste of rum with baked chicken, delicious. I also tried it without the rum, not as tasteful as with the rum. Thanks for sharing.

My wife loves her broccoli souffle and I admit it is good. When I made this cornbread with broccoli she flipped out. You will now find this on our table at least once per week. Thanks for sharing. I did not change anything.

Mom's Quick Pasta Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2012
I have been making a sauce similar to this for many years, but this was excellent. I added one thing, 3 or 4 oz. of hard salami chopped very fine, it adds an interesting flavor to an already very good sauce.

Potato Skillet

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2012
We have been doing this for years and we still love it. For some interesting variations: Bratwurst patties chopped fine and fried adds a interesting taste. We also dice bell peppers (all colors) fry these right after the bratwurst patties or bacon. I never cook with salt, pepper and all other spices yes, if someone wants salt they can add it before they eat. My wife adds a pinch of chicken bullion while cooking the potatoes.

Old Fashioned Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2012
This recipe has been around awhile but it remains a great one. I enjoy using different types of cheese just to change the flavor a little. I leave out the salt and pepper, but that's my personal taste. For a south of the border experience I some times use some of my homemade jalapeno salsa. That really spices things up and adds a little color to the dish. By the way, if someone wants salt and pepper they can add it before eating, there is a ton of salt in the cheese.

Sorry Connie, I just did not like this recipe at all.I did not change one thing in your recipe and it was very bland tasting to me and my wife. I will stick to my artifical crab meat for my crab cakes, they are pretty good.

This is great, I only changed one thing I added more garlic because we love that stuff. Wonderful recipe and so quick and easy. I made a double batch and served it to my neighbors while watching the NYG/Chicago game, they all loved it. With a nice glass of your favorite wine, wonderful.

Slow Cooker Lasagna

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2012
After reading this recipe the first thing that came to my mind is "dry". So I added a bottle of beer as I layered the items in to the crock pot, I might have drank one myself. I have always said a dry cook is a sorry cook. Otherwise I followed the recipe to the letter jus added aboy 45 minutes to the cooking time. As someone said all crock pots are not created equal, mine is slow. Thanks for the recipe.

Pomacello Martini

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2012
This is absolutely the best Martini variation that I have ever tried. When I first tried this drink we were preparing for my daughters engagement party. We had covered nearly all the bases when I saw this recipe, we made a small batch and tried it, WOW it was wonderful. Made it right after the recipe, perfect!!! We made 10 Gallons of this Martini, and we ran out not even half way through the party. Made 10 more gallons, we had about 2 glasses full left at the end of the evening. Thank you for sharing this recipe with us.
