Dawn's Candied Walnuts

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2010
I have these cooling on wax paper right now! These came out awesome! I don't have a candy thermometer, but I do have a digital liquid thermometer which I used to achieve the 236F. The sauce is the PERFECT amount for 1lb of walnuts. These are sure to be a hit and this recipe couldn't be ANY easier.

Golden State Mushroom Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2010
I just finished making this recipe 10 minutes ago and I must say it came out AWESOME. I did double the recipe to make 8 servings so that we can have some for a few meals. It's only 12pm and we just finished breakfast an hour ago but we can hardly wait to have this for lunch/dinner in a few hours! I made this by the book.

Beer Cheese Soup III

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2010
I first had this soup at a restaurant a number of years ago and fell in love. A few years ago my brother brought over some homemade beer cheese soup that tasted just like the restaurant! When I got around to asking him for the recipe he couldn't find it! :( Lucky for me I found this recipe. I just made it tonight and it was awesome. The only thing I did different was that I put all the vegetables in a food processor to chop them up. I still followed the recipe about when to add the vegetables though. There really is a surprising amount of vegetables in this soup! Use the food processor and the kids will never know! The original recipe makes way more than 6 servings though. I'd say it's at least 10 bowls.

Chris' Bay Area Burger

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2010
Great burger for a change of pace. I usually top my burgers with american cheese, ketchup, mayo and salt. Sometimes I'll use lettuce, tomato and bacon if I'm up to it. I didn't need ANY of those with these burgers. Just the patty between the buns. Awesome!

Mom's Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2010
I've made this twice this summer and both times it came out really good. The only thing I didn't follow was the butter and bread crumb mix before putting the bread crumbs on the surface. I simply poured the dry bread crumbs over the surface but it was still good!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2010
Wow, this came out really good. I followed the recipe exactly, but only did the high setting 4 hour cook due to time constraints. It still came out awesome! I loved the fact in made it's own gravy that I was able to put over my instant potatoes.

Tasty BBQ Corn on the Cob

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2010
This recipe turned out really well and I'm going to make it again this weekend. I wouldn't want to use this recipe EVERY time I have corn on the cob but it's great for a change of pace.
