Made these tonight and think the texture and taste is wonderful. They are lite and flaky, however, mine did not rise much. Even tho the date on my baking powder is good, it is a cheap brand so maybe that is the problem. Followed the recipe exactly except cut the sugar to 1 tsp. since both of us are diabetic. They cooked faster on the outside than the inside so maybe next time I will try a little lower temp. I am at 3500 ft. and oven temp of 450 does not work well for me. Maybe it is the oven. In any case, I feel this is a great recipe and one I will keep trying until it works for me. Thanks for sharing!
