I followed the recipe very close the first time, except using only 10 dates and 3 tbs of honey instead of sugar. It was good just when you blend the cooked rice and combine everything else its kind of clumpy. So the second time- this morning- I ground the rice before cooking it, then for about 1 cup of rice I used about 3 cups of milk and 1 cup of water. The rice absorbs the liquid easily so you can not hardly put too much liquids in it. I also sweetened it with honey and Iraqi date syrup. Very smooth and creamy and tasty now! Very good basic recipe. This recipe is very good, but my Husband who was born in Kuwait, raised in Iraq and lived in Jordan for 6 years said they serve this dish with more lamb milk broth then this. Also you should have made clear that you do not use a flat platter but rather a bowl shaped dish, so the Pita bread soaks up lamb milk broth. But I was absolutely thrilled to find this recipe as it is hard to find arabic recipes online. Thanks so much. :)

These were fabulous! I am not a fan of just white flour, so I did a 1/2 cup of whole wheat flour and a 1/2 cup of white flour. They were still amazingly light and fluffy! Wow I will never use another pancake recipe!

I used this dough to make piggy in the blankets. They turned out great. :)

I am not sure why but my dough was very sticky. I am thankful I have experience in pie making and was able to just add a few things here and there to make it the right consistency. Other then that I would say this recipe was very good! My friend loved the turn outs. :)

I love this soup, though I normally follow a recipe strictly the first time I use it, this one I didn't since I want spinach- I like to make a lot of soup one time and freeze the rest and didn't want gross looking spinach in the soup. Instead of vinegar I use lemon juice, but I followed everything else and all I can say is that I love it!

I followed this exactly as the recipe- excluding the ham- and I find that it is a good soup base. But I had to add some extra seasoning with it to make it to my taste. Thanks for sharing and I am intending to keep it as it is simple and quick and you can easily build off of it.

This recipe is absolutely AMAZING! I didn't do the frosting as the brownies are tasty enough. This is now my TOP brownie recipe. Next time I want to try adding some chocolate chips and see how that will taste. Thanks for sharing this wonderful recipe. :)

Marrying an Arabic man, I have grown to love couscous. But since I am use to having it will a soup, I think this would maybe be really good with a fruit sauce on top. Next time I will also put the apricots, raisins and almonds in while waiting for the milk to boil.
