When working, had to develope quick & easy recipes to fix after getting home. Found cooking relaxing and fun to see friends & family enjoying it. The simpler the better......economize with some prepared groceries and added my own touches:: love Mexican flavors, but like Southern homestyle dishes too. Nothing like coming home to a slow-cooker full of hearty soup and stews. It means we eat quicker!! But, a slow roasted chicken is also great cooked in slow-cooker. I introduced my chili con carne to husband when we were courting......who knows, maybe that was way to his heart: married for 27 years!!
