Bumbleberry Pie II

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2010
This is the first fruit pie I have ever made and it couldn't have turned out better! I made this with apples, rhubarb, strawberries and blackberries, and it is by far the best pie I ever tasted. I'll never buy a pie again. This recipe was so simple and so delicious, so there's no comparison when it comes to the store-bought ones.

Cranberry Orange Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2010
These turned out great and they were so fun to make! A surprisingly complex flavor of sweetness and tart in a little cookie. I just made a small test batch, but my family loved them and they were gone in no time. I'll definitely make them again, but their flavor I think is more suited to the fall and winter (I'll be sure to make them for Thanksgiving) than the summer, when I tend to prefer lighter, simpler tastes.

Thai-Style Peanut Sauce with Honey

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2010
This was fantastic. Great complex flavor. I normally don't like spicy food, but I can't resist this sauce. As a plus, it's a great, filling sauce and veggie dip for my vegan boyfriend (he still eats honey). I'll definitely make this again!

Belle and Chron's Spinach and Mushroom Quiche

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2010
This was very good! I love that this recipe uses raw spinach instead of thawed. I'm obsessed with raw spinach and I always have it on hand. Bacon was also a good call, and added a nice punch. I made a few changes to my taste though. I used 3 eggs and 1 cup half & half to reduce the risk of a runny quiche. I added mushrooms to one half of the quiche (half my family likes mushrooms and the other half doesn't). Finally I added the bacon to the top instead of mixing it in and I put it in for 50 minutes. It was delicious. :)

Acorn Squash with Apple

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2010
I added cranberries to this and put it in the oven. It was delicious! I'm considering making this for Thankgiving. I just can't decide whether to serve it as a dessert or a side.
