Pizza Crust for the Bread Machine II

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2002
Best bread machine recipe for pizza dough I've found. I used olive oil instead of vegetable oil. Texture of the dough made it easy to roll out and it tastes great.

Excellent and easy cole slaw dressing, but WAY too much of it!

Julie's Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2005
We really enjoyed this combination. I used leftover grilled chicken breasts the last time I made it, and it was even better.

Deluxe French Beef Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2003
Not special but easy. I let it simmer about an hour and a half for more tender meat.

Blue Cheese Coleslaw

Reviewed: May 7, 2008
This is really good! The blue cheese kind of melts into the dressing for a pretty subtle flavor. I halved the mustard and went light on the sugar, and we really enjoyed the results!

Cheddar and Olive Balls

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2003
I lost a very similar recipe years ago and couldn't remember the proportions. This is a great appetizer -- I also used cayenne instead of paprika.

I wasn't impressed, but my husband loved it.

White Bean and Artichoke Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2005
An improvement on tuna-white bean salad, which never turns out as well as I hope. Add a little lemon juice to perk it up.

Lemon Dill Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2003
Not terrible, but needed added zing of cider vinegar and salt. Nothing special.

Poppy Seed Onion Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2011
I love the taste of this bread, but a full tablespoon of yeast is too much! I cut it down to 2 1/4 tsp., and will try 2 tsp. next time -- it just rose too much!

Chicken and Bacon Shish Kabobs

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2006
Great combination of flavors. Did mine on my Foreman-type grill, closed. Next time I will try fresh pineapple in larger chunks. I served this with asparagus cashew rice pilaf from this site.

Vietnamese Beef And Lettuce Curry

With so many great curry recipes out there, this was just average.

Hot and Spicy London Broil

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2003
Something a little different. I was afraid braising would ruin the meat's texture, but it did not. Also, I did't have cherry peppers so I used pepperoncini instead -- it worked fine.

Basil Dill Coleslaw

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2011
This was a really nice change. I love basil. I did cut the sugar to 2 T., because I don't like sweet things. I'll make this again.

Thai Pork Satay

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2010
This was really good and pretty easy. I didn't have a lemon, but I substituted lime, which was fine. Also, I couldn't get the water chestnuts to stay on the skewers, but that added entertainment value.

No Eggplant Moussaka

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2005
This was just OK. I really missed the eggplant, and some of those familiar moussaka flavors (cinnamon, etc.).

Pesto Stuffed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2014
These were absolutely delicious! I went a bit heavy on the red pepper flakes because we like things spicy, and served with wild rice and sauted snow peas. I will definitely make this again.

Roast Beef with Coffee

Reviewed: May 11, 2012
Certainly easy, but is it a roast beef or a pot roast? The meat was grayish and not very attractive, and the flavor was fair. However, the leftovers were good in sandwiches, Probably won't make this again.

Eggplant Parmesan

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2011
Love this recipe...lighter and easier than frying. It has become my go-to Saturday night meal, since my husband works late on Saturdays and he hates eggplant. I take any leftovers to my mom.
