About this Cook
Well, I come from a small town in Wisconsin and now live in Utah. I love the outdoors and trying new things. I work as a Veterinary Technician and just recently graduated from school, so now I have more time to cook...I've discovered that cooking is actually a hobby I never knew I had.
My favorite things to cook
I used to enjoy cooking only desserts, but lately I'm excited to try anything new for our meals. I try to come up with different recipes for a different protein source so we're not having chicken two days in a row.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom used to cook a lot around the holidays, but my favorite was the sand tarts which I will someday put up here. They are a cookie my family fights over, but they require a lot of butter.
My cooking triumphs
Recently, I made fudge. It wasn't the consistency it needed to be, but it had form and tasted like fudge so I was fairly proud of myself.
My cooking tragedies
Well, I tried the chicken fajita melt recipe and didn't have enough sauce. My husband said he liked it though, so I guess it wasn't too horrible.

Strawberry Vanilla Pancakes
Love the combination! The only difference I made was I used whole wheat flour because that is all I had. I had no issues at all! Thank you for posting!

Tacos in Pasta Shells
I wasn't sure at first because the combination didn't sound good to me... but I loved it!!!

Easy and Elegant Pork Tenderloin
I loved this! I did use ritz crackers (off brand) because I couldn't find the Italian Seasoned bread crumbs, so I put Italian Seasoning in the cracker mixture as well as meat tenderizing seasoning and onion powder and garlic powder and it turned out really good! The only thing is it took more than 35 minutes to cook, but then I'm still having trouble interpreting my oven dial. :-)
