Lemon Glazed Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
This cake overall was delicious, but the glaze was a little too tart for me at first. Since you poke holes in the cake and pour the glaze over I would bite into a delicious piece of cake and then the next bite would be a sour tart piece where the glaze was. I would make this cake again but using less lemon juice in the glaze or using a whole different glaze. Just too tart for my taste. It does taste better after being refrigerated. Cool and refreshing.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2010
My husband liked this recipe more than I did. I thought it was missing something. It is good and easy as you put all the ingredients in at the same time.

Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2010
I really liked this!!! My husband didn't care for it as much as I did. The green peppers add a good flavor. I served it over egg noodles.

Baked Potato Soup V

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2010
I followed this recipe to a T and it came out good but it had a floury taste so if I decide to make it again I will use less flour. VERY FILLING.

Southern Pecan Pie I

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2010
I loved this pie. I followed the other reviews and used 1/2 cup dark corn syrup and 1/2 cup light corn syrup and everyone raved about it, and it was SO SIMPLE to make. This is a keeper for sure. Note: I've made this numerous times now and I've noticed when I use 'large' sized eggs the center comes out very runny. So make sure you use regular sized eggs, or else it wont turn out in the middle.
