Cake Project #15: Holiday Honey Cake. Project book author suggested leaving the cake set for 24 hours before eating to "let the spices permeate the crumb". Yeah Melissa, that'll happen. 4 hours is close enough. And that was as good as it gets. Crumb permeation only made this cake much worse than any made so far, and I don't think it was the omission of Grand Marnier. Kind of a cross between gingerbread and dog biscuits. Apparently the Grand Marnier is actually for drinking to hide the taste of the nasty cake. No worries, working a 12 hour shift will make it edible!
