Swedish Meatballs (Svenska Kottbullar)

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2012
Delicious, I made this meal last night; it rivals Ilea’s Swedish meatballs. Although the prep time, for me, was longer, I still had the meal completed in 2 ½ hrs. I served it on buttered egg noodles, baked red potatoes and a dollop of red raspberry preserves.

Original Recipe French Toast

Reviewed: May 2, 2013
This French toast recipe is very good, my husband loved it. The only change I did, instead of maple syrup I used sugar and cinnamon mix over melting butter. One other thing sometimes I use sourdough bread.

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2012
My husband loves chicken fried steak, and I have tried different ways to prepare it for him. This recipe was hit for him, he even wanted seconds. So now I have saved it in my recipe box and will prepare this way until something better come along, which I doubt.

Chicken Enchiladas II

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2012
These chicken enchiladas are very good and full of flavor. I did make a few changes. I used cream of chicken soup (large can) more chicken and cheese. It was a big hit in my family, and I plan on making this recipe again.

Scrumptious Salisbury Steak in Mushroom Gravy

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2010
This was a yummy recipe; my husband loved the fresh sautéed mushrooms. I plan on preparing this recipe in the future. I made yummy recipe again this month, but with a little twist. I prepared it with fresh sautéed mushroom and onions, and cracker crumbs, but instated of patties, I made meatballs. It was an instant hit.

Great chocolate chip cookies, the only change I made was I used one cup of butter flavored shorting instead of butter. Everyone in my family loves these cookies so I am making them all the time.

I though recipe was very good. The only thing I changed was, I layered the cheese on top potatoes instead of mixing it into the roux.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2010
I prepared Beef Stew tonight, and it was fantastic. I did not change a thing, and my husband wanted seconds. Update 10/5/11 This was great stew; my husband gave me thumbs up, which means it good. I did changes thing around though. I floured the cut up meat, and brown the meat in olive oil. I placed all the vegetables in the bottom of the slow cooker and added the browned meat on top. I used 1 ½ cups of water, instead of beef broth, turn it on high and cooked it for five hrs. Oh one other thing I omitted the Worcestershire sauce.

Roast Beef Burritos

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2013
I used this as a basic recipe with a little twist, Instead beef; I used a rotated chicken, and green taco sauce. I also used Spanish rice and refried beans as additional filler. I omitted the tomatoes and lettuce. My husband and the kids enjoyed the burritos; I will be making them again, this time I will add a dollop of sour cream.

Boston Baked Beans

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2013
This is the second time I made this delicious baked beans. The first time I used two cans of pork and beans, drained and then added all the ingredients, this just made it faster to prepare. This time I’m starting from scratch, I omitted the the dry mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Instead of plain ketchup, I used hot ketchup, I also used pepped bacon ends to give a little kick. I will see how the family reacts.
