About this Cook
I am going back to school to get my moderate/severe special education credential.
My favorite things to cook
Dessert! But I hardly ever bake because then I'll just eat it and doing that is counterproductive to getting into shape! I have fallen in love with cooking and like to try new things. Trying new recipes has led to some of our favorite meals!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My boyfriend is a police officer and usually works on holidays. I always make some decorated cookies for him on these holidays & wrap them individually. He takes them to work with him & hands them out the to people he has to make contact with that day.
My cooking triumphs
I have always cooked meals, usually breakfast, from a young age. When I met my boyfriend, he did all of the cooking. Now I have taken over the cooking responsibilities and have loved every minute of it - and so has he.
My cooking tragedies
I don't have one big cooking tragedy story but my reaccuring one is cooking things either too long (and they come out dry) or not cooking them long enough.

Waffles I
I knew these waffles were going to be excellent as soon as I smelled the batter...it smells like a cookie. I used whole wheat flour and added blueberries. Yum!

Classic Peanut Butter Cookies
I love this recipe! I made smaller cookies & cooked them for only 7 minutes. I ended up with just over 6 dozen cookies.

Gluten-Free Peanut Butter Cookies
These were excellent! They didn't run at all while cooking. I made these for 1 person who is gluten intollerant & everybody enjoyed them, even gluten tolerant people.
