Black Forest Cake II

I used a generic cherry brandy and the cake tasted way too alcoholic...not good...do not try this...the cake was barely eaten. Also I had to really tweak the frosting to give it a good flavor.

Baked Fettuccine Lasagna

This was great! I changed it to make a low fat version: soy sausage instead of beef (which I cooked with spices), low fat cheeses and low fat cream of mushroom soup. Other enhancements for some more zing: add fresh garlic and jalapenos and split up the cream soup sauce to be poured onto each layer instead of just the top. A dynamite dish!

Blueberry Cream Cheese Pound Cake I

This cake was very moist and pretty tasty, but really didn'taste much more special than a box cake with blueberries thrown in it (and I used the recommended vanilla cake mix). The crowd was fond of it though.

Cream Filled Cupcakes

This recipe was pretty good, not great. I doubled the recipe to make 72 cupcakes, but the recipe only yielded 48 cupcakes. Also, make sure to fill the holders at least 2/3 full, not 1/2 like the recipe says. In order to fill the cupcakes with the filling well, I removed some of the cake part.

Greek Lemon Cake

Great recipe! I added powdered sugar to the top, and this made for a wonderful, fluffy, light cake! I will definitely make this again and will serve it with sherbert!

Chocolate Cavity Maker Cake

Fortunately I was making 2 cakes, because the first one TOTALLY fell apart...the baking time was way off! The 2nd cake turned out fabulous, but I reduced the oven temperature a bit and baked the cake for about 35-40 extra minutes. EVERYONE loved this cake! Very moist, chocolatey and rich! Thanx for the recipe!

Easy Lasagna II

This lasagna turned out delicious, fast and easy! I changed it up a bit...I used ground turkey and added fresh onions and fresh garlic. Also, all of my ingredients were low fat...fabulous!

Better Than Sex Cake II

12.13 This recipe was pretty darn good, but next time I will make some minor adjustments...maybe do half fudge and half cream so it doesn't take away from the chocolate flavor as much. Also, I will make a homemade whipped cream topping. All in all, everyone loved it! Thanks!

Honey Crunch Pecan Pie

This pie looked amazing and I loved the crunchy topping layer, but the 1st layer didn't really work out for me. I believe it was overcooked even though I went by the directions. I will make it again, but cook the 1st layer a little less.

Flaky and Tasty Pastry

This was my first pie crust and it turned out as promised...flaky and tasty, although I didn't have an easy time working with it...I assume that is probably characteristic of most pie crusts though.
