Marinated Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2013
This was really good. I followed the recipe pretty closely, however this was the perfect amount of sauce for two pork chops...I would definitely triple if making the recommended six. Very tasty and I will be adding this to my rotation of easy weekday meals.

Cheesecake Topped Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2012
This is super simple and very tasty. Instead of using pre-made frosting (don't care for it too much) I melted down a Ghiradhelli dark chocolate bar and poured it over the top. The resulting dessert had a nice solid frosting top and looked nice. I will definitely add this in to my regular rotation. Bonus points for an elegant-feeling update to an old favorite combined with ease of preparation.

Butternut Squash Fries

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2011
The flavor was great, however the end result was very unlike a fry. No crispness or crunch. I tossed in olive oil and salt, then baked for 35 minutes total. Still not crispy like I wanted them to be. Would be a great component in another dish but not a stand-alone side for me.

Black Forest Cake I

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2011
I have made this cake several times simply b/c it is soooo good! I brought it with for a family holiday dinner, not only did everyone love it but the presentation is beautiful. Instead of pressing crumbs into the icing on the side, I used dark chocolate shavings. MUCH better this way hands down.

Coconut Cookies

Simple and easy comes out tasty every time. I added chocolate chips to half of the last batch I made and whoa what a hit. Like have almond joys in cookie form. Perfect.

Key Lime Pie VII

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2011
This recipe is easy and pie turns out great every time. I have made this for family, friends and coworkers. I now have a following of people begging for more pie! One of my friends told me that I ruined him for any other key lime pie b/c mine was the best. Haha, if only he knew how easy! I always use fresh key limes and juice them. A bit tedious, true but definitely worth it. Serve this with some whipped cream on top and use the "graham cracker crust I" from this site and you will not be disappointed.

Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2011
Hands down best pie I have ever eaten. We picked fresh blueberries for this one and I used the "butter flaky crust" recipe from this site. So flavorful and complemented the blueberries so well. This is officially in the family summer traditions from now on.

German Red Cabbage

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2011
I had been craving this for a few weeks and was not disappointed at all! This recipe makes for a delicious dish. I only make half a cabbage for the two of us and it still was too much. Make sure you have a GIANT pot if you want to make the entire head. The apples really set this off. Mmmmhhhmm.

Three Berry Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2011
This recipe was pretty good. Not my favorite pie for sure (that would be fresh blueberry) but when made with fresh fruit it was nice and light and disappeared quickly.

Peach Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2011
Pie turned out ok, was still a little runny even after following others' suggestions of adding cornstarch and leaving in the oven (once temp turned off) for an additional 30 minutes. Although, this could be my fault for allowing the pie to be cut before it had been in the fridge. It had been cooling all day on the counter so I thought it might have been ok, apparently not. After spending the night in the fridge it was just fine. My suggestion: leave in fridge overnight and serve the next day.

Turkey Pot Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2011
This was a delicious pie! I couldn't stop eating it! I made it with intentions of freezing leftovers, but between the hubby and I it was gone in 3 days. I will be utilizing this recipe annually after each and every one of those turkeys we can never finish.

Yummy Lemon Salmon Burgers

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2011
These were very easy to make and tasted great. Came out tender and juicy, not overly dry like I remember salmon patties of yesteryear. I will be making these again.

Butter Flaky Pie Crust

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2011
I love to bake and have for years...but pie was something I always would avoid for fear of duplicating my horrible crusts of the past. I made this one last week for a fresh blueberry pie...it was phenomenal. flaky, delicious and successful!!! Will be using again and again. Never fear a pie again. :)

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2011
This is my 2nd time using this recipe. It is definitely worth the extra effort. My husband and I had originally planned on freezing most of this for quick dinners, etc. but we quickly found out that we couldn't stop eating it! Delicious!!!

Cherry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2011
This recipe is pretty good, however my pie wasn't set even after being in the fridge for 24 hours. I took the advice of another reviewer and baked at 350 for 35 minutes...this was perfect afterwards. Set nicely and tasted wonderful. Definitely not a traditional cheesecake but I think I might like this better. I added fresh strawberries to mine and it is disappearing quickly!!!
