Baked Honey Mustard Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2014
This was so easy and used things I already had available. The only thing I did wrong was that I didn't use enough chicken!! Had 4 breasts thawed for another recipe that I did not have all of the ingredients for and found this recipe to save the day. So I went with the 4 breasts I had and they were NOT enough. I wanted leftovers!

Italian Peas

Very tasty and very easy. I did not use olive oil but used a bit of bacon fat instead as it fit in with the rest of the meal. I like this recipe because it seems so versatile and adaptable. Thank you for sharing.

Monkey Meat

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2011
OMG- I expected it to be good after reading the reviews, but it was incredibly flavorful and addicting. I will be making this again and again. I think next time I'll make some rice and beans and eat it all with naan bread!!! My husband approved whole-heartedly also!

Slow Cooker Roast Beef

if too salty for you also check the sodium content in the onion soup mix. Soy sauce may not be the only culprit!

BLT Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2010
This salad was very tasty, filling, easy to make, I could go on and on. We eat salads for dinner at least once week and are usually snacking at some point in the evening. Not so after eating this. And did I mention easy? Most time consuming part was cooking the bacon, but, it's bacon!! So who cares? I did keep the dressing on the side until we built our salads and ate. So nothing got soggy. YUMMY, this will be added to the rotation.....

Eggless Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2009
I was looking for an easy recipe to take to Thanksgiving dinner, only two in my family really like sweet potatoes so they are not a priority and the dishes I remember from my youth all had little marshmallows on top. I wanted something different. I was making these at someone else's house so I had to improvise a bit, used all oj and no evap milk. They were still amazing. Even my bil tried them and liked them, and he had never eaten them before. Guess there are 3 of us who like them now!

Garlic Ginger Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2007
I wish I would have read the reviews before making these chops. I agree- they were just way too salty. The soy sauce overpowered the garlic and ginger, I couldn't taste them at all. I will try again and cut the soy sauce in half, use pineapple or orange juice, and more ginger.

Asian Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2005
Desperate for something to do with left over chicken, I found this recipe and made the dressing at the last minute. Didn't have all of the ingredients, so I made a few substitutions. I used chow mein noodles instead of rice noodles and only used 2 T of vegetable oil. Luckily I had sesame oil, not optional in my mind. But the sesame seeds kind of get lost in the salad. The dressing tasted as good as the Oriental chicken salad dressing at Applebees. Thanks for sharing this fantastic recipe!!!

Cowboy Cookie Mix in a Jar

Reviewed: May 15, 2005
My kids gave their teachers these jar cookies as presents one year but not before we tested them. I found the cookies difficult to make so I dumped the dough in a square pan and made bars. Just bake them a little longer. They were delicious. I keep this recipe around for when we need a quick treat.

Simple Whole Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: May 15, 2005
This chicken was tasty-there were no leftovers, but I will never make it again!! The smoke alarm kept going off the whole time it was roasting. By the time it was done, the whole house was filled with smoke. All in all, it was a very noisy operation and not worth the trouble.

French Dip Sandwiches

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2002
I had a chuck roast that I just didn't know what to do with and wanted something different than the onion soup/mushroom soup recipe. I found this recipe and adapted it by covering the meat with water and adding more beef boullion. I thickened the broth to make gravy and served it with mashed potatoes. It was delicious. My family absolutely loved it! The meat was very tender and the gravy was so flavorful. Very easy recipe, and my kids asked me to make it again. What more could you ask for?

Beef Tips

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2002
I read the reviews before I made this and eliminated the salt and used low sodium soy sauce. My husband and I loved the flavor, but it was way too peppery for the kids. I'll make it again and use less pepper. Very easy and the meat was as tender as the reviews said.

This was as easy as the recipe said it was. Great flavor, and it smelled so good while it was cooking. My daughter loved it. I will definitely make it again.
