Oatmeal Raisin Toffee Cookies

These were very good cookies even though I really couldn't taste the toffee. The only change I made was adding a 1/2 tsp of salt. Everything else I kept the same and my cookies did not come out flat at all. I made the dough and baked it right away. They did bake for about 11-12 mins.

Special Buttercream Frosting

This is a really good frosting and the consistency was great, however, I used all shortening and I think next time I would try substituting maybe half of that with butter. Had a little bit of that taste to it where it coats your mouth (if you know what I mean) all in all though it was good and I would probably make it again.

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Bars

Followed this recipe exactly and wasn't that impressed. The texture is kind of crumbly and it just seems like it is missing something. They weren't terrible but I doubt I would make them again. Was looking for something more chewy.

Vanilla - Chocolate Powdered Sugar Frosting

Excellent!! I just made this for my four year old's son birthday cake. I tinted it blue. I had to quadruple the ingredients but then I had more then enough to cover an 11x15 in cake....I definitely recommend this recipe and will be using it often myself.

Very good!! I did have to add some extra confectioners sugar because the glaze was a little too runny but without or without glaze I will definitely make these again.
