Vanilla Banamango Smoothie

Reviewed: May 12, 2013
omg, so good. Used one fresh banana one fresh mango (fist time i have never bought and used one) waited a day for the mango to be a bit soft. I washed and half peeled the mango. I added a wopping tablespoon of great value vanilla yogurt and, I dunno, a 1/4 cup dole orange peach mango juice. Also about a handful and a half of ice. I will always have these ingredients in my home from now on. Of course I am sipping on my smoothie as I type :D I would have added the carrots, as I add them to almost all of my smoothies- my boyfriend said he might try if i made it with out them- oh well I will next time. and I didnt have any ginger. yum yum yum

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2013
Yummy. Only had some sour cream so i used apple sauce for the rest. Also didn't have walnuts so i used almonds and i added flax seeds. and i mashed the bananas because of the other reviews, i wasn't gonna eat the bread right away so i didn't want purpley bananas in it. next time i will use applesauce instead, whole wheat flower and different nuts if I have them.

Green Bean and Mushroom Medley

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2013
so gooood! i made about two servings but ate it all myself! one carrot, half an onion, a handful each of green beans and mushrooms. i sautéed my mushrooms and onions in a little bit of bacon fat and used three large cloves of garlic (i have an obsession with it) and i also used a sweet chili sauce so i added a pinch of cayenne pepper. i also added a bit of rosemary and thyme per other reviews. i only seasoned with pepper. it had just the right amount of kick. i ate it all before my main dish! will definitely make again.

Sweet and Spicy Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2013
mmmmhmmm. delish. i had one ginormous sweet potato, halved the paprika and used more brown sugar. i also sprinkled some salt and cinnamon right before i put them in the oven. i baked them for the full 30 min w the flip, plus some to get a crunch; but i think when i eye balled the olive oil i used too much so they didn't crunch well. i really liked how they came out though. the perfect amount of kick for me and i am not a huge spice fan. my hubby didn't eat them because he thought they were too spicey ( he is not a spice fan at all though). i was planning to use this dish as a side but it ended up a delicious snack. i will definitely make this again.

Biscotti

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2012
so good half my batch went home with my family thanksgiving night! i made these exact ones. then since it came out so well i made another with almond extract substituted for the anise with almond slivers. DELICIOUS!! i tried to drizzle melted chocolate but forgot to separate them right away so when i tried to break them apart later some of the drizzles came off. yum yum.

Rustic Autumn Fruit Tart

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2012
I followed the directions exactly and it came out wonderful. i did soak the fruit then drain the liquid. The only trouble i had was rolling out the dough because i didn't have anything to use- i tried with an empty wine bottle, with out much success. It might not look great but i could not stop eating it. i would next time use more fruit in my 9 inch pan. DELICIOUS!
