Lite Carrot Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2011
I substituted the oil with applesauce and added just a dash of nutmeg. Instead of icing I just topped with pecan pieces and baked them into a top crust and have got nothing but tremedous praise. This cake ( I made them as muffins) is hands down outstanding and I will continue to make this for a long long time!

Cottage Cheese Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2010
This is probably the cookiest recipe I've ever tried, but man if it didn't just shock the heck out of me and the family... absolutely wonderful! I did as other reviewers and cut the oil to 1/8 cup and used only 2 eggs. Also I didn't use a full packet of onion soup mix, half was PLENTY. I added mushrooms, onions, garlic, and served with mashed taters and mushroom gravy. Truely a great meatless meal that filled and satisfied us all. I WILL make this again! Thanks for sharing!

Russian Green Bean and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2010
this is SUPER! it's so good and so easy! because i live in a house with men who apparently can't fill up a dinner without meat, i did as others suggested and used some smoked sausage. the sausage, the kraut, and the dill were just great together. the boys loved it and so did i. this is a keeper!

Easy Vegetable Pot Pie

this was BEYOND easy and SO good!!! i don't like dry herbs so i went to buy fresh thyme, when i came across a prepackaged "chicken herb blend" which was fresh sage, rosemary, and thyme... HOLY COW! so so so good!!! a fantastic recipe for anyone who just needs to throw something together!

Wicked Good Veggie Chili

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2010
my husband is an executive chef, and there's not too much he doesn't always have a few ideas to make something taste better, but this chili HANDS DOWN was something he told me i can make ANY time. i didn't use the tvp so i only used half of the spices and that was plenty warm enough! fantastic recipe!

Grandma's Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2010
we just LOVED it!!! kids went nuts cause there weren't any veggies and my hubby went nuts cause there was just SO much flavor! i used ground turkey which can tend to leave recipes seem as if they're lacking, but with cider vinager, dijon mustard, and the cloves... OUTSTANDING! it really was good enough for me to set up an account so i could review it! either you like cloves or you don't... for us, this was HANDS DOWN... AWESOME!
