Basil Butter

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2012
mmmmm basil butter! This is absolutely deelish! I roll into a log in plastic wrap and freeze. In the middle of winter when I want a taste of summer I pop it out the freezer cut off a slice or two and add it to veggies, garlic bread, on top of steak. It's also wonderful on corn on the cob!

Poppy Seed Dressing I

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2012
I love this dressing on salads that have fruit in them. It's quick and easy to make. As long as you have poppy seeds on hand everything else is a staple. I always sub splenda for sugar with no problem.

Sugar Free Eggnog

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2013
This may be my favorite ever substitution recipe!! I love eggnog lattes and have not had one in years due to sugar and fat content. I warmed mine up in the microwave then stirred in some instant coffee - heaven! My husband (who doesn't give a hoot about sugar or fat) is enjoying his glass over ice with rum! So happy to find this recipe and not feel deprived this season!

Ginger Ale

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2012
This was just okay for me. After I recovered from the seltzer explosion I found the taste to be just so so. I think on a super hot day this would be refreshing and I may try it again but would add the ginger more gingerly!

Colleen's Slow Cooker Jambalaya

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2012
I've made this recipes dozens of times and given it out many times as well. Thank you Colleen for posting. I find it is very forgiving and seems so simple I'm surprised it tastes so good. I often forget to add the shrimp and have used many kinds of sausage. It turns out great every single time!

Lemon Blueberry Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2012
I actually hate baking but this recipe is in my repertoire. I find it easy to make and really tasty. It's spongy and the lemon and blueberries are a fabulous combo. I've never added the walnuts, the texture is perfect and think they might detract from it.

Radish Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2012
Great way to use up radish from the garden! I used garlic salt instead of fresh garlic as that was what I had on hand, it was great. It's nice and creamy with a little kick from the radish. I wouldn't buy radish just to make the dip but certainly would make again when the radish's pop up.
