Amish Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2011
This was a hit on Xmas morning ! Super easy and lends itself to substitutes beautifully. I made one according to recipe and another with cooked, crumbled sausage, cooked, sliced mushrooms and some chopped red and green peppers for a fetive twist. Both were great !

Ham N Cheese Potato Bake

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2011
Easy and so yummy, great comfort food ! Hubby and kids really like it so I make it whenever we have leftover ham. I chop up whatever is left from a spiral ham and freeze 2 cup portions just for this recipe. I have used whatever "cream of" soups that I have on hand. Cream of mushroom, Cream of celery even cream of chicken. I do like to throw some Panko or bread crumbs in a skillet with a pat of butter and a little olive oil, toast it then sprinkle on top the last few minutes of cooking. That little crunch really compliments the creamy texture of the casserole. MMMMM, MMMM, GOOD !

Jif® Peanut Butter Blossoms

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2011
Ya can't go wrong with this recipe. So easy and just heavenly ! My kids enjoy helping with the unwrapping of all the kisses and then popping them onto the warm cookie. Get creative and use different flavors or kisses . Mini peanut butter cups are great subsitutes for the kisses, too !

Frosted Banana Bars

Really yummy, I use the Cream Cheese Frosting II recipe from this site as suggested by another review. Get a lot of requests for this recipe whenever I make it to bring somewhere.

Basic Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2011
MMM, MMM, GOOD ! A great, basic cream cheese frosting. I "tweak" it sometimes by adding different extract flavors depending on what I'm baking (i.e Rum flavor for banana bars, Almond or Lemon flavor on giant sugar cookies ) The leftover frosting is not around long....eaten by the occasional spoonful or spread between graham crackers, YUMMY !

Exactly what I was looking for. Excellent with the Thanksgiving turkey. Makes for a nice "chutney" with pork and I LOVE it with ham !
