Dairy Free Soy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2009
Very runny, need to use soy milk next time and maybe then I won't add potato flakes.

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2008
My daughter can't eat milk products, so I didn't put in the parmesan cheese and it still tasted great. I would use less oil since it was a bit greasy, but otherwise it was perfect.

Brunch Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2008
Very delicious, but also greasy. This will need to be a special dish we have rarely.

Rainbow Trout with Yogurt Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2008
I tried the fish but didn't have yogurt for the sauce. I will need to try that next time because the fish was great.

Thai Peanut Butter Sauce

Reviewed: May 28, 2008
I also substituted stuff. I used 2 tablespoons of red wine vinegar instead of the sherry to get the sour tang. I ommitted so much mine was pretty thick so it needed extra water. Yummy! Great over rice noodles!

Johnnycakes

Reviewed: May 21, 2008
My kids thought this was too heavy of a recipe for pancakes, but will use with soup instead of cornbread with honey and it should be fine.

Gourmet Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: May 6, 2008
This was a huge hit. I was a little worried about ranch dressing, but it was delicious just as is.

BBQ Chicken Pizza I

Reviewed: May 6, 2008
Too sugary. Next time I'll just use barbecue sauce without the added sugar, molasses, and brown sugar.

Refried Beans Without the Refry

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2008
My crockpot had it cooking for an extra hour and still not done. Probably needed a couple more hours. Taste was good, but beans still grainy.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2008
This is the teriyaki recipe I have been looking for. My only change was using chicken breasts and I should have sliced them thinner so that the sauce was more evenly distributed, otherwise this was a definite keeper.

Baked Vegetables I

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2008
I didn't use the zucchini, instead I used bell pepper and it tasted delicious. I also used an oven bag which helped blend the flavors without the mess.

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2008
I saw this recipe when I had some whipping cream, but I used last minute substitutes. I used monterey jack cheese for the swiss and chicken stock instead of the white wine and boullion cube. It still was fantastic. Will make again soon.

Raspberry Topping

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2007
This recipe was so easy. I used canned raspberries but frozen would have kept there shape better. I also used blackberry jam for a mixed berry taste and it turned out perfectly. Did take awhile to thicken, but worth the wait. I used this with Chantal's New York Cheesecake also on allrecipes, and served it on the side.

Borscht I

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2007
I didn't throw out the beet, instead I pureed half and diced half. I also left out the green pepper. Very delicious, my book club still talks about how they loved it.

Buckeye Balls II

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2007
These are easier than the ones my mom made growing up. I use chocolate almond bark to cover and warm it in the microwave to save time, and besides that made exactly as written.

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2007
I will never need another New York Cheesecake recipe again, this one was perfect. I was worried about using a water bath and leaving the cheesecake in the oven for so long, but it didn't crack, turned out beautifully. Couldn't buy a better tasting cheesecake.

Roquefort Pear Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2007
The work party loved this. Doubling the dressing made too much, but the leftover dressing was perfect for other salads later.
