Tasty Tuna Burgers

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2012
Very good with modifications. I make thai tuna sometimes(add thai red curry paste) and we tried burgers that way, so delicious! We never add the pepper or celery (SO hates celery, I hate pepper)and it seems that may have been for the best. When it comes to cooking, treat them like crab cakes and make sure they're not staying cold/uncooked inside. The flatter the better. Good spices to use (depending on your taste): thai red curry paste, sriracha, worc. sauce, soy, etc. TIP: taste a bit along the way to make sure everything is good to go. Again, good base recipe but -1 star for it not being stellar on its own.

Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2012
This is a great base recipe. It gave me the proper amount of water to lentils and a clear idea of seasonings and quantities needed. That being said, this is definitely a recipe you need to modify. Add seasoning or stock (I used beef) as needed once you have the basic stew going and you'll have a winner. Mine included bits of chopped smoked bacon, extra garlic and shallots instead of regular onions. I added Worcestershire sauce and extra spices as well. 4 stars because it's exactly what I was looking for, but not quite perfect in itself.

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2011
It's the second time I make this successfully. A bit sweeter than I'm used to for rice pudding but all the same, very tasty. I like how the egg adds a bit more "pudding" texture. I didn't use the raisins and opted for cinnamon.

Butter Chickpea Curry

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2011
Very good basic curry recipe. I used canned tomatoes in chunks instead of tomato soup and yogurt instead of milk to make a thicker sauce. It made a lot, but everyone loved it. :)

Cindi's Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2010
Very good recipe, even if I did make my own modifications. :) I'm not a fan of bell peppers and I didn't have cabbage on hand, so I used finely chopped celery instead, lots of soy sauce and powdered ginger.. finally I used brown sugar instead of molasses. These were so juicy and tasty they didn't need dipping sauce, they were perfect on their own.
