I'm originally from Uruguay, South America, but I have lived in the USA for 35 years.
I love to cook, especially ethnic cuisine and I'm open to recipes that are easy, healthy and delicious.
My favorite things to cook
I like japanese cuisine for the amount of veggies and low fat dishes.
I also like italian. I love pasta and I have tried many light sauces.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite famiy dish is one that my father (he was polish) taught me when I was a teen.
It is made with the skin of a chicken, filled with chicken livers, green onions, a little chicken fat cut in small cubes, 1 egg, flour, parsley, salt and pepper.
The flour has to be enough to make a soft filling without destroying the livers. Put this filling on the skin, roll and make a parsel with plastic wrap like a sausage and tie at the ends.
Boil in chicken broth for about 1 hour or 1 hour 15 minutes.
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours and slice.
It is delish!!!!!
My cooking triumphs
My best recipe yet, is beef cook with dark beer.
Every time I have a dinner with friends or family and I prepare this dish, everybody loves it.
My cooking tragedies
I made a chocolate cake and it was overcooked and stick on the pan.
I have to take it in pieces. So I ran to the supermarket, got ice cream and strawberries and made a kind of triffle.
