Sausage Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2013
LOVE it!!! The thing I did not like though was that I mixed it all together, with the pasta and when I had it as left overs the next day it was really slimy. So, next time just don't mix it all, if you are going to keep it for left overs, keep the pasta and sauce separate. Other than that it was amazing!!!

Black Bean and Salsa Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2012
Amazing. I did the same as others and kept 1 can of black beans whole instead of blending it. I also didn't have veggie broth so used chicken broth. Such an amazing yummy soup!!! Made with quesadillas and dipped them in. Thanks Maryanne!

Taco Salad I

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2012
Amazing. The only change I made was that I used black beans (rinsed) because I didn't have chili beans and used catalina cause I didn't have french. All hot stuff on the bottom and cold added right at the end so it doesn't get soggy. Amazinggggg!!!

Barbarella's German Pancakes

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2012
**AMAZING** ... did I mention that these are amazing!!! The only thing I did different was I used 1 tsp of vanilla and 3 "heaping" tablespoons of flour, the rest I followed to a tee! I put a good amount of melted butter in my pan and had the heat on 5 (medium), made sure it was nice and hot and then put the mix in. They were a bit tricky to flip but not difficult, just be gentle and patient and it will work like a dream. I got it on the first try! I added raspberries, bananas, sausage pieces, maple syrup and Oikos vanilla greek yogurt and rolled them up and ate them. So amazing. Thank you so much for the recipe, one of the best on All Recipes.

Not good for me at all. Maybe way too much vinegar or lemon but it was not nice.

Carrot Broccoli Salad

Didn't change a thing. I added the sunflower kernels in right at the end though just in case they got soggy. Other than that I LOVED it.

Amazing!!! I swapped the water for chicken broth and added 1/4 cup more and also added spinach. Had it with meatballs. You have to try this, it's so good!

Easy Sausage Strata

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2012
Wonderful! I don't eat much bread so used shredded hash browns (cooked 3/4 of the way) and did the rest exactly as the recipe says. Mmmmmm. And, let it sit for another day or two to let all the flavours meld together and then re-warm it (I microwaved it) ... so amazing!!!

Grilled Sea Bass

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2012
What did I do wrong??? It was "ok" but not "great" like so many of you are saying. Did I not put enough seasoning? I didn't come close to having 2 lbs of sea bass, and still I did not have enough flavour. If someone can give me suggestions, I'd welcome them at koolskyy@yahoo.com because I'd really like to make this recipe work. Thanks.

Pork Marsala

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2012
Amazing. I added two pinches of cumin. Only other changes are less oil, you don't need 1/4 cup. No garlic salt but 4 crushed garlic cloves. Instead of marsala wine (not a huge fan) I used 1/2 cup red wine and 1/2 cup chicken broth. And I added whipping (heavy) cream. Perfect and amazing on egg noodles!!! Will make again and again.

Salmon with Fruit Salsa

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2011
Super good. Yes to adding avocado and mango. I also used a can of chunk pineapple and the juice from there. 2 tomatoes, only 1/4 cup total of red/yellow pepper. I substituted the jalapeno (didn't have any) with tabasco ... won't do that again. Use jalapeno. And, just before serving I took the salmon out and fried it in the frying pan, I like the edge a bit crispy. Loved it!!!

Pierogi Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2011
I took another reviewers advice ... I just used perogies. Fried them a bit in garlic butter and onions, just to make them a tiny bit crispy. Half cooked my bacon. Laced the bottom of my 9x9 with bacon, then perogies & onions, cheese, more bacon and more cheese. Sprinkle with pepper. Remove from oven at 350 for 15 mins and top with sour cream. AMAZING!!!

Green Chili Chicken Burgers

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2011
Ok, 5 stars is for taste. This burger is so hard to eat that it's hard to say I'll make it again. Next time I will make it an open-faced burger and eat it with a knife and fork. Worse than eating a sloppy Joe. But so good! Couldn't bbq it either with the consistency, had to pan fry and it worked great! Lower the amount of sour cream and cilantro in the guac. Other than that, great!

Picnic Slaw

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2011
The only reason I give it 3 stars is because of the suggestion to pour the dressing over the veggies and marinate over night. My veggies were soggy, especially the cabbage. So not good. Now, flavour wise this recipe is a hit!!! Add more mayo though, it's too watery. Still yummy and I'll definitely make it again. Thanks.
