Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2014
Really easy recipe. I'm in Colorado and elevation is not an issue for this recipe. It is a thicker mixture but produces fluffy and amazing pancakes.I substitute organic Apple sauce for the butter. Frozen blueberries add great flavor as well.

Extra-Yummy Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2013
The cinnamon and vanilla added such a great flavor to these pancakes! I've been searching for a recipe that is easy to make and packed with flavor and this does just that! Highly recommend. The only change I made was I melted 3 Tbsp of butter and them tempered the egg with the melted butter.

Simple Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2012
Overall very tasty. I did a few things different: 1 chopped red bell pepper Instead of 1 Tb garlic, I used 5 cloves using my garlic press 1 can refried black beans I didn't mash the kidney beans I added extra oregano and cumin to taste For the chili powder I used a spicy, authentic red chili powder. I did as others stated below - I sauteed the onions and garlic and then added in the beef. I used the water and let it simmer for more like an hour to an hour and a half.

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2011
I followed the other recipe that replaced the shortening with butter and used 1 cup milk. I have a glass top oven and I kept the heat at about 3-3.5. I also used vegetable oil to cover my Staub pan. This is the easiest and tastiest recipe out there!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2011
They title is probably the most fitting one I've ever read. This is an easy recipe with amazing results. After making my first batch I was craving more. One thing I would suggest is that you don't fill to the top if you aren't using paper cups. The muffins end up sticking inside a little bit and the tops come off of the bottoms. If you do fill to the top, it typically makes 7 and not 8... I will make this again and again and again!

Blueberry Crumb Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2010
Just as everyone else has said, this is extremely easy and really tasty. The first time I made this with blackberries. While it was good, I recommend trying to make it with berries without seeds if you are making this for a big audience. I enjoyed the blackberries but my boyfriend likes the blueberry one better. One note - I didn't use shortening but replaced it with butter. I added a dash of nutmeg to mine as well. If you want the berries to be a tad sweeter, take a small amount of your berries, smash them up and add some sugar to them. Let them sit overnight in the fridge. The next day add this mixture to the rest of the berries and then follow the instructions. You can also add a touch of vanilla extract. All in all - I don't know how you could be disappointed. This is one of my favorite things to make now!
