Cream Cheese Squares

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2012
I didn't love the recipe as written. But I did love the recipe after I made a few changes. I only used 1 package of cream cheese and half the sugar (though I made it with splenda and 1/3 the fat cream cheese). I used lemon zest and juice in the cheese layer and then put a layer of homemade jam over the top. I made mine with strawberries and blueberries, but you can use whatever jam you like. The fruit really cut through the cloying cheese layer and it was really good. Also, I'd recommend par-cooking the bottom crust for five minutes and cooling before adding the rest. Brush the top with butter, because there's no need for a half cup of butter or margarine to keep the cinnamon sugar on top. With these changes, we loved it. Still a good base recipe to make your own.

Marinated Flank Steak

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2011
I used balsamic vinegar and olive oil, but otherwise followed the directions as is. I LOVED this marinade and we will be using it again. The mustard just made it so good...the flavor was amazing. I let my steak sit in the marinade overnight...really made a difference!

Naan

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2012
Loved this recipe. Only change I made was in how I cooked it. I didn't grill it. Instead I preheated the oven to 500 degrees and warmed up some sheet pans. Oil the pans and add dough while they're hot, and then bake for 5 minutes or so. Some ovens may vary. They were very good.

Pork Roast with Thyme

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2012
This was a great recipe. I did make a few adjustments, but not many. I added more salt and pepper because one teaspoon isn't going to flavor a whole roast. But that's up to personal taste. I used red wine vinegar and mixed it with apple cider, salt and pepper, powdered garlic and onion. I used rosemary instead of thyme because that was the herb I had handy. I added potatoes, carrot, and onion for the last hour to roast. I took the meat out and then cranked the oven to finish off the veg. It was very flavorful and very juicy. I will make this again.

Cream Cheese Frosting II

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2010
This was a very easy and very good recipe for frosting. My bf tasted it on his birthday cake and his eyes closed in pleasure and he said, "You really love me." :) I recommend.
