Edamame Bean Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2013
You had me at Edamame! ;) This salad is perfect! Added a little extra lime juice, cilantro, and cumin (personal preference) I also threw in 1 1/2 cups cooked red quinoa. So good. Thanks!

Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2012
With more then 2000 reviews, does this recipe really need another review with 5 stars???? YES! My granny used to make homemade bread every time we went to visit her. Unfortunately her bread making secrets died with her. I've tried bread recipe after recipe and this is the only one that even comes close to hers. Thanks for the recipe!

Barbequed Ribs

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2011
Followed recipe to a T. My family's reaction was pure joy! They said "mom, you should only make ribs this way from now on". Perfect recipe for the perfect ribs. Thanks!

Cassie's Zucchini Brownies

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2011
Definitely more cake like than brownie. I like the dense fudgy type brownies, but as a cake this is awesome! I sprinkled some powdered sugar on top and it's yummy.

Slow Cooker Pinto Bean Bonanza

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2011
These beans are awesome. I used smoked sausage instead of kielbasa, and fresh jalapenos instead of pickled, and fresh onions instead of dried. Love this recipe, it's a keeper!

Banana Bread Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2011
Tastes just like banana bread but in cookie form. Only changes I made was using half white sugar and half brown sugar and I used two bananas (which equaled one cup mashed). I also left the butter out of the simple glaze (because thats how I do it for my banana bread) The cookies are YUMMY!!!!

Taco Seasoning I

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2011
Increased onion and garlic powder to 1/2 tsp, the cumin to 2 tsp. Used 1/8 tsp cayanne pepper instead of pepper flakes and added a tablespoon of flour to the mixture. Fantastic! Will never buy a taco seasoning packet again. Thanks!

Potato Chip Cookies II

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2011
I also dusted the finished cookies with powdered sugar and then increased the potato chips to one cup...other than that I followed the recipe exactly. These cookies came out perfect! Very reminiscent of a pecan sandy but with a nice crunch inside. Definitely will be making these again!

Margarita Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2010
Fabulous!...I followed Cookin in D-town's changes and then added one of my own...I used fresh lime zest in the cake batter and glaze as well...gave it that extra zing that it needed....This has become my most requested cake!

Southern Gumbo

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2010
My family really enjoyed this...a little thicker than the gumbo we were used to in the south, but tastes just as good. Thanks for a great recipe. I did add some cajun seasoning, a bay leaf, and just regular beef broth. But this recipe is great all on it's own!

Neat Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2010
These are by far the best sloppy joes! My family loves them. I've made a lot of sloppy joe recipes looking for THE ONE and this recipe is it! So much flavor.
