Fresh Tomato Salsa

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2010
Great salsa! I don't think it is too spicy at all with using 5 peppers, but I like it HOT! A couple cloves of garlic definitely needs to be added thought. I also throw all the ingredients into a blender and then strain it. It gets rid of all the excess juice and is still very flavorful.

Baked Soy Lemon Chops

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2010
These were okay. My family says they would taste better with white rice. This recipe may be better without so much soy sauce.

Parmesan Baked Potatoes

My family loves these potatoes! I like to use a few cloves of pressed garlic mixed in the butter.

Adrienne's Cucumber Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2010
This recipe uses too much sugar for my taste! I will probably only use a few tablespoons sugar next time. Otherwise great recipe!

Unbelievable Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2010
My daughter and boyfriend loved these, even though they are die hard beef eaters! I realized I didn't have any coarse ground mustard so had to use regular mustard instead, but it still turned out great! I followed the rest of the recipe exactly but marinated it for only 3 hours. Next time I will try it with the right mustard!

Mouse's Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2010
Everyone loved this mac and cheese! I had never made home cooked mac and cheese so I thought it looked a little funny when I took it out of the oven, but it turned out wonderful! I used 16oz of velveeta but followed the rest of the recipe exactly.

Special Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2010
You definitely need to drain the relish for this recipe! I don't eat eggs but my boyfriend loved these even though they were a little runny. I like to boil an extra egg and mash it up for the filling. It really saved the yolk mixture this time!

Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2010
These get 4 1/2 from us! My daughter absolutely loved these. I would suggest a tad more salt, butter, and perhaps a little more milk. I used almost twice as much garlic than the recipe called for because we love garlic.

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2010
I really wanted to like this recipe but it just didn't do anything for me. I followed the recipe exactly but left out the water.

Italian Restaurant-Style Dressing

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2010
This is a wonderful recipe for salad dressing! We ate at OG the other night and my boyfriend says this is way better! It's so close to their recipe but just a litttle better!

Grilled Marinated Shrimp

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2010
This recipe for shrimp was just average. Good flavor but nothing special. It may be pretty spicey for the little ones too.

Fantastic! This rice is way better than any I've ever eaten. Better than the resturant and easy to make too!

Garlic Pasta

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2010
I used dried ingredients so I scaled it down to about 1/2 a tsp and used 8oz of noodles. This was GREAT to serve along with our grilled shrimp. My boyfriend and I love spicey, but the red pepper has to be cut back for the little ones.

Mexican White Cheese Dip/Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2010
This is a great cheese sauce recipe! The cumin, garlic powder, and onion powder make all the difference. I used a pound of velveeta and it was awesome, my boyfriend says its better than the resturant! I do use more milk though because I don't like mine as thick.

The Best Chicken Fried Steak

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2010
I love the way the breading stays on the steaks! So tasty too! We really didn't like the gravy, however. It lacks flavor and is just yucky. We prefer a country gravy mix, but the chicken fried steak is GREAT!

GREAT cake! Very chocolatey, this doesn't require a topping at all! You may need to have a glass of milk with this as I do!

Banana Pudding IV

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2010
I thought I had eaten some good banana pudding before, but I was WRONG! I absolutely couldn't believe how awesome this recipe is, and you don't even use banana pudding! I suggest waiting to it this until after it has set in the fridge overnight. I tried it after it was in the fridge for four hours and it wasn't cold enough and the flavors weren't mixed together as well. It is definitely worth the wait!!

Cheddar Bacon Hamburgers

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2010
This recipe makes the BEST burgers! Instead of using bacon bits I cooked up 6 slices of bacon and crumbled them up into the mix, I also chopped up about 1/4 of an onion and put that in there as well. You really have mix all the ingredients in really well but it's worth it! Oh, so good!!
