Garden Veggie Pizza Squares

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2011
This recipe worked well for a quick appetizer that both kids & parents liked at a potluck I attended. It disappeared quickly, so I guess it was a hit! I followed the recipe to the letter, excepted I substitutes reduced fat crescent rolls & cream cheese. To make the cream cheese more spreadable, I just let it sit out at room temperature for an hour or so. The ranch dressing was a nice addition, added a lot of flavor, and like everyone else said, make sure you only add half, that was plenty. I was worried that the squares would be soggy, but they turned out great. Definitely a keeper.

Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2010
The recipe is great...so much easier than others I have tried in the past and with a superior result. As is, the recipe will give you a dense, sweet bread. For a fluffer, less sweet version, I cut the sugar in half.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2010
These brownies were delicious. I took the advice of others and was careful not to over-stir the batter. The result were outstanding fudge-like brownies. The only reason this is not a five star recipe for me was the frosting...it was way too thick. In the future, I will either forgo the frosting altogether or try a different chocolate frosting recipe on top.

Jamie's Cranberry Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2010
This is a delicious salad...it also makes a nice presentation. The colors make it a perfect holiday salad. It is on the sweet side, so those enjoying a more savory salad may not like it as well as I did. I utilized crasins and bought honey crusted sliced almonds in the salad section of the supermarket to save time. It turned out great.

Beaker's Vegetable Barley Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2010
This is such an easy soup to make! I followed the recipe exactly and could not have been more pleased with how it turned out. Even my meat-loving husband enjoyed this soup! It is a thick soup...much more of a stew, but you could easily add more broth if you wanted to.

Guacamole

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2010
This was my first attempt at making guacamole and I was so pleased with the finished product. As a beginner-level cook, I found that this recipe was easy, delicious and super fresh. It reminded me of the guacamole my husband and I have while vacationing in Mexico. Yum!!

Deb's Spicy Summer Evening Mushrooms

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2010
This was okay. We were a little discouraged by the outcome because we are such mushroom lovers! The soy sauce we used was a little over-powering. If we try it again, we may switch sauces or only let the mushrooms marinate for 30 minutes rather than and a hour.
