My favorite family cooking traditions
Making my aunt's verion of Chex Mix (we call it TV Mix)often between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Everyone that has ever tried it loves it!
My cooking tragedies
The only thing in 11 years of marriage that my hubby has asked me to never make again was a terrible 'Burger & Fries' casserole. Not too bad of a record!

Caramel Snack Mix
We love this sweet mix any time of the year. We skip the nuts and throw in a couple more cups of cereal. And we've tried using Chex, but Crispex is just MADE for this recipe, it works perfect. The stirring at the end is crucial so it won't be in a blob. It's a great sweet to have at the holidays that's not a cookie or fudge.

Buffalo Chicken Dipping Balls
Mixed these up and let them sit overnight. We made half the recipe, and I did add a couple heaping tablespoons of cream cheese to the mix. We used panko crumbs for an extra crunch. And I used a fry pan with oil, not a deep fryer. They were awesome! I thought the sharp cheddar made them a bit 'saltier' but still awesome. We might try making patties and doing a sandwich sometime. This one is perfect if you love the hot buffalo flavor like we do.

Kimberly's Meaty Meatloaf
My hubby recently used this recipe the first time he ever made meatloaf. It was better than ANY I (or my mom) ever made! Gosh, was was so good! He took 1/2 of the tomato sauce & mixed that into the recipe. (I am not a fan of the tomato stuff on top, but this didn't have a gob and it was good!) He used 1 lb lean beef and 1 lb ground pork. Plus he used more 'chester sauce- 2 T. We are keeping this one and will be sharing the recipe!
