About this Cook
My name is Stacey, I am 26 years old. I have a wonderful husband named Nate, and an amazing growing 6 year old son named Benjamin (both of which have large appetites for food!) I like to cook good homecooked meals and am always looking for new delicious recipies for my family.
My favorite things to cook
Some of our favorite meals are: Thanksgiving feast Inside-out Chicken Pot Pies Lemon-Fried Chicken Tilapia Halibut Cheeks Chicken-Fried Steak (Breakfast) Pulled-Pork/French Dips(Slow cooked) Pot Roast Pork Chops and 1/2 Bakes Potato/Loaded Baked Potato Salad(to go with anything BBQ'd) Grilled Steak and Seafood Feast Homemade Potato Chips/Fries I am just starting to do Birhtday cakes too...lots of fun there!!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every Christmas and Thanksgiving we all get together and have an amazing feast! We set out all the food and munch all day. Everyone brings something and we all work together. We have a large extended family it is a blast. In the summer we do the same but it is with potluck BBQ's that are the greatest we have our favorites that we eat and everyone have thier specialties.
My cooking triumphs
I won my husbands heart through his stomach! He was living with a room mate and eating one horrible meal a day. I pulled out all the stops and kept him coming around!!! Of course that is not the only way I won his heart! My sons 6th birthday cake was awesome. There was no leftovers where as I always take a ton of leftovers!
My cooking tragedies
I could not remember my Granny's recipie for blackberry cobbler and the first time I tried to recreate it...it was inedible, way too much butter! I cannot make a yolkie(over-easy) egg to save my life. Or make an omelet, they usually end up skillet style sloppy.
