Creamy Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2012
I love this frosting!!!! Crazy as it sounds, I didn't have evaporated milk. The only thing I had close to that consistency was Caramel-Vanilla Creamer. It was crazy good!!!!! I tried to make it again, the right way, but my family wouldn't let me :)

Pumpkin Roll I

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2012
I made this for a friend so I didn't eat any, but I can tell you that this was the first time I had ever made a Pumpkin roll and this was INCREDIBLY easy.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough + Cupcake = The BEST Cupcake. Ever.

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2012
I made these for my family and everyone LOVED them. I used Devil's food Cake and Chocolate Buttercream frosting. I do think that I'm doing something wrong. The cookie is barely cooked when I pull the cupcakes out and they sink in the middle.

Fluffy Pancakes

These were absolutely excellent!! They are so fluffy and it's a smaller recipe so it's perfect for my girls.

Rick's Special Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2012
This is the best buttercream I have ever made!! I did follow suggestions of others. I used 4 oz. of heavy cream, 6 c. powdered sugar, 1/2 Crisco 1/2 unsalted butter (cause it was all I had). Because I only had unsalted butter, I added another 1/4 t. of salt. DO NOT USE cheap shortening. It is not solid enough and the frosting will be too thin.

Cheese Dipping Sauce

I loved this. I used it for the cheese sauce in the Pork Chops and Cheesy Potatoes. It was absolutely wonderful!!

Homemade Chocolate Sandwich Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2011
This recipe is so good. I used a yellow butter cake mix (cause I didn't have chocolate) and Chocolate Butter Cream II. They tasted just like Lofthouse cookies. I would sincerely suggest making the cookies small because they are VERY sweet this way.

Brownie Batter + Cupcake = The SECOND BEST Cupcake. Ever

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2012
I love making these!! They are so pretty and such a hit. Like others I use a piping bag to put the brownie mix in the cupcake. The middle comes out looking like a Hershey's kiss :)

Pork Chops and Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2011
This was WONDERFUL!! Instead of cheese sauce I used the Cheese Dipping Sauce recipe. I made it and let it cool slightly while I was getting everything else ready. I did add the 2/3 cup milk to the cheese sauce. My extremely picky kids loved it, even the 9 month old.

Chocolate Butter Cream II

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2011
I love this recipe!!!! I made 3 small changes. I used half butter/half shorting, added 1/4 tsp vanilla, and 1/8 tsp. salt to cut the sweetness. It turned out so well and my kids love putting in a piping bag to decorate cupcakes!!!!

Hawaiian Sweet Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2011
I love this bread!! I didn't have any lemon flavoring so I tried orange flavoring once and almond flavoring on a different loaf. I love it with almond.

Creamy Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2012
I love this cheesecake. I never seem to have lemon zest or extract so I use 1/4 t. Almond flavoring. I bake it for 30 minutes and I use Graham cracker crust I from this site. I never have to buy any gift for my sister in law anymore cause all she ever asks me for is this cheesecake. To prevent cracking, I put a pan of water in the oven while it is preheating.

Vanilla Cupcake

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2012
This is a pretty plain cupcake that needs a few additions. I added about 1/3 c. milk and 1 T. oil, with that they were pretty fluffy (you'll need to increase bake time to 25 minutes). Because they are not overly sweet it makes a perfect base for your own flavors or a really funky frosting. I used "Creamy Chocolate Frosting" from this site and they balanced each other very well.

Swedish Meat Pies

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2012
I have to agree what some others have said about the meat being somewhat bland, but I did leave out the allspice, dill weed, and nutmeg. I added garlic salt and dried basil. Instead of the dough, I simply used a box of Jiffy pie crust using 4 T. of water and 2 T. sour cream. I should have used 2 boxes.

Egg Noodle Lasagna

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2012
This is a very "Kid-Friendly" recipe (my kids loved it). As for adults, it's a little boring. I would suggest adding a can of mild Rotel for more of a kick.

Nutty Sour Cream Apple Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2011
The topping on this pie was wonderful, but I really feel like it could have used more apples. I used 5 large apples and it still didn't fill the shell. I will make this again, but I will add more of everything for the filling.

It to me tasted very bland, boring, and dry. Although it was very simple, I won't be making this again.

Low-Fat Orange Dream Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2011
I made exactely like the recipe stated and I have to say I really thought it was bitter. I have no intention of making this again unless it is the "high fat" version.
