Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2011
This is an easy and delicious recipe. I made it for company. I followed the directions completely only adding 1/2 milk to make it a bit creamier. It tastes exactly like the "Alfredo Chicken" I love at a local restaurant. I will make this again.... for sure.

Applesauce Cake I

Easy to make, not many ingredients, and the taste is fantastic. It really is the best I have ever made. There is no need to make any adjustments.

Cheesy Sausage Pasta

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2011
This was very good recipe. I cooked the sausage by itself and put it in a strainer and let the grease drip off. I used about a half a cup of Mozzarella cheese. I also used about 2/3 the pasta as another poster mentioned. It definitely served 8 people even with the smaller about of pasta. I also made some breadstick that I found on another website called the best homemade breadsticks EVER! and they were the best ever!!

Buttermilk Pancakes II

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2011
I have used the same pancake recipe for years.... until I made these tonight. They are hands down the best pancakes ever. My family loved them. The secret is to not mix the wet in the dry until you are just about ready to cook them.

Beef Stroganoff with Noodles

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2010
I read many reviews before I made this so I knew not to add too much seasoning salt However, I didn't really care for the recipe--it tastes too much of worcestershire sauce and is really thin rather than creamy.

Lola's Horchata

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2010
This is a great recipe. The only variations I make is that I put the cinnamon into a coffee filter all tied up and let it set for only a few minutes, then remove. I strain the horchata really well several times with a sieve, then I let it the liquid set overnight and carefully pour from one container to another, discarding the sediment, I modify the sweetener by only adding 1/2 c. sugar as well. It has a light cinnamon flavor and is really refreshing. Taste is as close to Campeche, Mexico as you can get without being there!

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2010
This was fabulous! I changed it a little. I used twice the seasonings except left out the parsley. I sliced the 4 chicken breasts like fajita meat, and used the seasoning as a rub. I pre-coooked an onion in butter that I had wedged then took it out and set it aside, then added the oil to the pan and cooked the meat. When it was almost finished I added one can of Rotel and a handful of fresh cilantro. After that had cooked down (3 min. maybe) and the meat was done I added one tsp of garlic powder and 3 Tsp. lime juice and threw back in the onions. Served in a warm tortilla. Our foreign exchange student from Mexico said it looked like something his mother would serve. He loved it. Has a good kick without being too hot.
