Still looking to make the perfect chocolate chip cookie! My bread is one of my best successes....along with most other baked goods.
My cooking tragedies
Once made scones and forgot to add sugar! I ended up with what tasted like chocolate chip biscuits!

No-Knead Artisan Style Bread
I also have used this recipe for a couple years with great success. The only diff is I use 1/2 tsp. instant yeast, 1 tsp salt, 1 1/2 cups water. This is more in line with the Sullivan St. bakery recipe. I've included a pic of my version of cranberry walnut bread using this recipe. Simply add cran. and walnuts to flour mixture, then add water. Follow directions as given. I've had luck with a shorter proofing time also....12-15 hrs depending on the season. To make the baguette pictured, I placed the dough on a hot pizza stone and covered it with a loaf pan. Shorter baking time, that's all.

Banana Crumb Muffins
These are one of a dozen banana muffin recipes I've tried, and I rate them #1. The texture is great, oven rise is gorgeous (see my pic) and even tho I'm not a fan of crumb toppings, I love this one. Followed recipe exactly EXCEPT I added about 1/2 tspn of ground ginger to the topping, and 1 tspn of ground cinnamon to the dry ing. before mixing with the wet. DO NOT over mix, stir till flour is no longer visible and incorporated and the muffins will be awesome! Oh, and I only had 2 large bananas and that worked out fine.
