Coffee Lover's Dessert

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2012
Absolutely delicious. For such a dense batter - it turned out light and fluffy. The only complaint I have is that there is too much topping, but then again, I am not a fan of a lot of crumble topping. Other than that it is very good and very easy to make!

Monster Cookies II

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2012
Holy cow does this recipe make a bunch! I substituted butterscotch chips for candy pieces and it turned delicious. This are not very soft and get crunchy quickly. I had to mix these cookies together in two very large bowls as they wouldn't fit in one. I will make these again, but half of what the recipe calls for.

Slow Cooker Italian Chicken Alfredo

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2012
This recipe gets an A for being very economical and a C-/D+ for everything else. I tried this recipe today and it feel very flat. I think there are too many flavors that are supposed to mingle well, but didn't. My sauce came out very lumpy and runny (I may have not let my cream cheese sit out long enough to soften.) I added some flour to thicken it. But after the first taste, I was done. This is definitely something I will not be trying again.

Easy Slow Cooker Sweet and Sour Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2012
Super easy! The pork chops came out tender after 4 hours! I did double the sauce recipe as I don't have a small slow cooker and was afraid that it would dry out the meat. This was pretty awesome and will make it again.

Minestrone Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2012
Very easy to make, but the flavors fall flat. Not what I am used to with Minestrone soup. I did add about 8 oz of pasta and some rosemary to flavor it up a bit. Maybe next time I will add some black pepper or red pepper flakes.

Green Bean Bundles of Joy

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2011
It may have been how I cooked this recipe, but the green bean came out a little crunchier than I would have liked and the Italian dressing was too zesty for my liking.

Cheesy Chicken Meatballs

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2011
Super easy to make! However, more spicy than cheesy. I used cracker crumbs instead of bread crumbs and used more than needed. I guess my ground chicken was too moist. Will recommend this over and over again!

Jumpin' Java Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2011
The aren't great cookies, but they aren't bad cookies, they are just different cookies with a very different and muddled flavor. Easy to make!

Bran Muffins with Coffee

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2010
Easy to make. A little time consuming, yet if you are making more than muffins, this recipe definately helps with other kicthen tasks. I used flavored coffee and it gives the muffins a small hint of flavor.

Breakfast Sausage Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2010
This cake was a a little time consuming. The biggest compliant I had was that the cake was more sweet than savory. And that it would be better if it was a balance of the two. Other than that the cake was polished off in two days!

Roast Beef with Coffee

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2010
Super easy to make. I cooked my roast beef in the slow cooker for about 7 1/2 hours and it came out fork tender. However, the garlic seemed a bit overpowering for my taste, and my roast beef came out more like pot roast.

Granny's Mahogany Cake and Frosting

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2010
Made this cake last week. This was the: 1. First layer cake I have ever made 2. First cake I have ever made from scratch 3. First icing I have ever made from scratch This cake could not have been easier to make. However, it didn't taste like I anticipated it. The cake did turn out very moist and very rich. I would make it again for company!
